My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
6 Days Gaziantep & Kahramanmaras Tour: Mosaics, Cooking Class and Hamam Private Tour
Highlights of the 6 Days Gaziantep & Kahramanmaras Tour
This six-day journey uses Gaziantep as a comfortable base for five nights and adds a full-day excursion to neighbouring Kahramanmaraş. The result is a relaxed but varied holiday in southeastern Turkey that mixes Roman art, medieval fortresses, lively craft bazaars, regional cooking and the soothing ritual of the Turkish bath, all with an English-speaking guide, transport in an air-conditioned non-smoking vehicle and airport transfers on both ends.
In Gaziantep you begin with the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, where the finds of the ancient Roman city of Zeugma and other regional excavations fill vast galleries. Gaziantep Castle, the fortress crowning the historic core, is the next stop, and after lunch you explore the Zincirli and Bakırcılar bazaars, famous for their copper workshops. On another day a local chef invites you into the restaurant kitchen for a cooking class: you prepare Gaziantep specialities together with salads and desserts and then enjoy them as lunch. A further day is reserved for a hamam, where the cold, warm and hot rooms recall Roman bathing traditions and attendants known as tellak and natır carry out the classic scrub.
The fifth day takes you about two hours by road to Kahramanmaraş, a city honoured with the title “Kahraman” (heroic) and proud of its bazaar heritage. You see the castle and the old Maraş houses around it, browse a bazaar known for fine wood and copper craftsmanship and visit the Kahramanmaraş Museum, whose collection of ancient artefacts includes two ancient elephant skeletons. Afterwards there is an optional stop at a patisserie to taste the city’s celebrated ice cream and desserts at your own expense. Five nights of hotel accommodation, five buffet breakfasts, the cooking-class lunch and the entrance fees in the itinerary are included.

On arrival at Gaziantep Airport you are welcomed and driven to your hotel in the city centre, which will be your home for the next five nights. After check-in the day is free with no scheduled activities, so the timing of your flight does not matter. Day 2 Gaziantep — Zeugma Museum, Castle, Bazaars - Gaziantep — Cooking Class 🍽 Breakfast ▾
An early pick-up after breakfast brings you to the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, where mosaics and artefacts from the region, especially from Roman Zeugma, are presented in spacious halls. From the museum the guide takes you to Gaziantep Castle to walk around the citadel that has stood over the city for centuries. After lunch (not included) you continue to the Zincirli Bazaar and the Bakırcılar Bazaar to watch coppersmiths at work and browse traditional crafts. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Gaziantep.
Day 3 Gaziantep — Cooking Class - Gaziantep — Hamam 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
After breakfast you are driven to a local restaurant, where the chef welcomes you for a cooking class while your guide translates. Step by step you prepare dishes of the Gaziantep kitchen, rounded off with salads and desserts, and then enjoy everything you have made as your lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon you return to the hotel and the remaining hours are yours. Overnight in Gaziantep.
Day 4 Gaziantep — Hamam - Kahramanmaraş 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Following breakfast you are picked up and taken to a traditional hamam. The bath is arranged in cold, warm and hot sections, a layout inherited from Roman bathing culture. After warming up, the bath attendants, tellak for men and natır for women, perform the traditional scrub and peeling ritual, leaving you refreshed and relaxed. You then return to the hotel for a quiet afternoon. Overnight in Gaziantep.
Day 5 Kahramanmaraş - Gaziantep 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you set off on the roughly two-hour drive to Kahramanmaraş. Afterwards you may stop at a patisserie to try the famous local ice cream and sweets (optional, at extra cost) before driving back to your hotel. Overnight in Gaziantep.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
