With five days and four nights in one city, this tour gives Gaziantep the time it deserves. Instead of rushing between regions, you stay in the same hotel throughout and devote each full day to a different side of local life: ancient art and history, the region’s famous kitchen, and the centuries-old bathing tradition of the hamam. Airport transfers, an English-speaking guide and comfortable air-conditioned transport take care of the logistics.
History comes first. At the Zeugma Mosaic Museum you see mosaics and archaeological finds from the region, above all the floors recovered from the Roman city of Zeugma, displayed in halls that recreate the layout of the original houses. Afterwards you head for Gaziantep Castle, the citadel that rises over the old centre and has watched over the city for centuries. Following a lunch break you walk through the Zincirli and Bakırcılar bazaars, where coppersmiths and other craftspeople keep traditional trades alive in historic market streets.
The next day is devoted to food: a restaurant chef teaches you to cook typical Gaziantep dishes, with salads and desserts on the menu, and the dishes you prepare become your lunch. The fourth day slows the pace with a visit to a traditional Turkish bath. Hamam culture has its roots in the bathing customs of Roman times, and the bath still follows the sequence of cold, warm and hot rooms; attendants, called tellak for men and natır for women, perform the classic scrub and peeling ritual. Four nights of hotel accommodation, four buffet breakfasts, one lunch and the entrance fees in the itinerary are included, leaving you free evenings to explore the city at your own rhythm.

You are met at Gaziantep Airport and transferred to your hotel in the city. Once you have checked in, the remainder of the day is at leisure. Use it to recover from your flight, unpack for a four-night stay in the same room, or wander the nearby streets to get a first feeling for Gaziantep. No sightseeing is scheduled today. After breakfast your guide picks you up early from the hotel. Start at the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, home to mosaics and artefacts uncovered in the region, many of them from the Roman city of Zeugma. Continue to Gaziantep Castle and explore the old fortress in the centre of town. After a break for lunch (at your own expense) you visit the Zincirli Bazaar and the Bakırcılar Bazaar, where copperware and handmade goods line the historic lanes. Following breakfast you head to a local restaurant where the chef gives you a cooking class. Your guide stays with you to translate and explain each step as you prepare regional Gaziantep dishes, along with salads and desserts. After breakfast you are collected from the hotel and taken to a hamam. Inside, the bath is divided into cold, warm and hot sections, much like the baths of the Roman era. Relax in the heat before the attendants (tellak for men, natır for women) carry out the traditional scrub and peeling.
