My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
6 Days Kilis & Gaziantep Tour: Old Town, Cooking Class, Hammam and Zeugma Museum Private Tour
Highlights of the 6-Day Kilis & Gaziantep Culture and Cuisine Tour
This six-day itinerary combines two neighbouring cities of southeastern Turkey that are both known for their food: the small border town of Kilis, where you are based for five nights, and the larger city of Gaziantep, visited on a full-day excursion. Arrival and departure are through Gaziantep International Airport, and a guide accompanies every activity in English. Because the hotel stays the same throughout, the rhythm is easy, with one main experience per day and plenty of time to rest in between.
Kilis is introduced on a guided walk through its historic core. Salih Efendi Street preserves the look of the old town, lined with traditional houses and the pavilions of local families such as Neset Efendi, Muhlis Salihoglu and Meliha Uzumbali, where the domestic life of earlier times can still be read in the rooms and courtyards. The walk continues to Ravanda Castle, standing above the town, and to the Ulu Mosque, one of the oldest in Kilis, before a shopping stop in a town famed for handicrafts and bridal shopping. On the following day a local restaurant chef teaches you to cook Kilis specialities, a cuisine shaped by Turkish, Syrian and Lebanese influences, and the salads, desserts and main dishes you make together become your lunch. A morning at a Turkish bath follows, a custom with Roman roots that the Seljuks and Ottomans kept alive and that remains part of daily life today.
The fifth day takes you to Gaziantep. The first stop is the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, home to a unique collection of Roman-era mosaics, recovered from the ancient city of Zeugma on the Euphrates. Gaziantep is equally famous for shopping and gastronomy, so you continue to the traditional Copper Bazaar and to Zincirli Bedesten, a restored Ottoman covered market. The excursion ends with a coffee break in a historic setting, Tutun Han in summer or Tahmis Coffee House in winter, before you drive back to Kilis. Five breakfasts, two lunches, all transfers and the entrance fees in the programme are included.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your full program, day by day — click a day to see every stop.
Day 1 Arrival - Kilis historic centre and Ravanda Castle ▾
You are welcomed at Gaziantep International Airport and driven south to Kilis in an air-conditioned vehicle. After check-in at the hotel that will be your base for the next five nights, the remainder of the day is free. Use it to recover from your journey, unpack properly and enjoy a calm first evening in this small border town near the Syrian frontier.
Day 2 Kilis historic centre and Ravanda Castle - Kilis cooking lesson 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
After breakfast your guide leads you into the city centre. Salih Efendi Street is the heart of old Kilis, and along it stand stone family houses and pavilions bearing names such as Neset Efendi, Safder Tumay and Zubeyda Ulgen Neci, which give a picture of traditional household life. You then visit Ravanda Castle, the fortress crowning the hill above the town, and the Ulu Mosque, among the earliest mosques of Kilis. Lunch is included. In the afternoon there is free time for shopping, as Kilis is a popular place for handicrafts and for brides preparing their wedding purchases, before you return to the hotel.
Day 3 Kilis cooking lesson - Kilis hammam 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
The morning is spent in the kitchen of a local restaurant, where the chef teaches a cooking class while your guide explains each stage. Recipes come from the Kilis tradition, which borrows from Turkish, Syrian and Lebanese cooking, and the menu also features salads and desserts. When the cooking is done, you sit down in the restaurant to eat the dishes you have prepared together as lunch. The afternoon is free after you return to the hotel, giving you time to stroll or relax.
Day 4 Kilis hammam - Gaziantep day trip 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you set off for a traditional Turkish bath. Bathing culture of this kind goes back to the Roman world and was carried forward by the Seljuks and the Ottomans; many people in Turkey still visit the hammam regularly, and the experience fascinates travellers from around the globe. Once you have enjoyed this restorative ritual, you head back to your hotel in Kilis, with the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5 Gaziantep day trip - Kilis – Gaziantep Airport 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Following breakfast you are collected for the drive to Gaziantep. Your first visit is the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, whose remarkable mosaics date from the Roman period. Gaziantep is renowned for its markets and its cuisine, so the tour continues to the traditional Copper Bazaar and to Zincirli Bedesten, the historic covered market. Afterwards you stop for coffee at a traditional venue, which depends on the season: Tutun Han in summer and Tahmis Coffee House in winter. After the coffee break you return to Kilis for the night.
Day 6 Departure - Gaziantep 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After your final breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer back to Gaziantep International Airport for your flight home. The tour ends here, after six days that took you from the lanes and monuments of Kilis to its kitchens and hammam, and on to the museums and bazaars of Gaziantep.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
