This full day trip from Gaziantep to Sanliurfa visits Gobeklitepe, the oldest known temple in the world, the beehive-domed village of Harran and the sacred pools of the 'City of Prophets' in one guided journey. You are collected from your hotel in Gaziantep in the morning and travel east with a professional English-speaking guide, with entrance fees and transport included.
The first stop is Gobeklitepe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose carved stone pillars predate Stonehenge by thousands of years and where excavations are still under way. The tour then heads to Harran, once a capital of the Umayyads, to see the 22-metre-high Harran Mound rising in the middle of the ancient city, the Harran Grand Mosque, considered the oldest mosque of the Islamic period in Anatolia, and the remains of one of the earliest Islamic madrasas in its courtyard. You also visit the inner castle, the historic city walls, a traditional conical-domed Harran house and the mausoleum of Sheikh Hayat al-Harrani, remembered for his kindness and grace.
Back towards the centre of Sanliurfa, you stop at the shrine of the Prophet Job (Eyyub), where you see the cave in which he is believed to have suffered and drink from the healing well, while your guide tells his story. In Sanliurfa itself you walk around Balikligol, the sacred fish pools of Halil-ur Rahman Lake and Ayn Zeliha Lake, and visit the Makam-i Ibrahim Mosque, the Rizvaniye Mosque and the Mevlid-i Halil Mosque, together with the cave where the Prophet Abraham is said to have been born. The day ends with a tea break at the historic Gumruk Han before you are driven back to your hotel in Gaziantep.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
