My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
6 Days Koycegiz & Oludeniz Tour: Lake, Cooking Class, Hamam, Fethiye & Kayakoy (Group Tour)
Highlights of the 6 Days Koycegiz & Oludeniz Tour
Koycegiz is a relaxed lakeside town in Mugla province on Turkey's south-western Turquoise Coast, loved by Turkish and European holidaymakers for its lake, rivers, beaches and unspoilt countryside. This six-day programme bases you in one hotel in Koycegiz for five nights and mixes nature, food, bathing culture and coastal scenery at an easy pace. You are met at Dalaman Airport, travel in an air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle and enjoy the company of a professional English-speaking guide on the guided days, with plenty of free time to wander the town on your own.
The first guided day is devoted to Koycegiz Lake, a former bay that was cut off from the sea by river sediment and is now linked to the Mediterranean by the winding, shallow Dalyan Channel, about 10 km long. Fed by springs and by streams such as the Namnam, Kargicak and Yuvarlakcay, the lake is fringed with reed beds and deltas, and the thermal springs along its shores have long been used for health and wellness. Next comes a hands-on Turkish cooking lesson with a local cook, a lovely way to learn about village life and home-style cuisine, followed by lunch and free time for shopping. Another day is set aside for a traditional hamam, arranged around your preferences and the bath's opening hours.
The final excursion travels roughly an hour and a half to the Fethiye area. Above Fethiye you visit the Lycian rock-cut Tomb of Amyntas, with wide views over the bay, then explore Kayakoy, the abandoned former Greek village whose hillside holds more than a hundred ruined houses and several churches, before lunch at a village restaurant. The afternoon is spent swimming and sunbathing at Oludeniz beach. Five nights of hotel accommodation, five breakfasts, lunch on the cooking and Fethiye days, airport transfers, the guided tours and entrance fees in the programme are all included.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your full program, day by day β click a day to see every stop.
Day 1 Arrival - Koycegiz Lake βΎ
Welcome to the Turquoise Coast. On arrival at Dalaman Airport you are met by our team and driven to your hotel in Koycegiz, in Mugla province. After receiving your room key the rest of the day is free, so you can unpack, take a first look around the town or simply rest after your flight. The town will be your home for the next five nights, which means no daily packing and plenty of time to get to know its easygoing rhythm. Overnight in Koycegiz.
Day 2 Koycegiz Lake - Koycegiz cooking class & shopping π½ Breakfast βΎ
After breakfast your guide introduces you to Koycegiz Lake, set in the old Mentese region south-east of the provincial capital Mugla. You learn how the lake formed from a bay sealed off by alluvial deposits, how numerous springs and streams such as the Namnam, Kargicak and Yuvarlakcay keep it supplied with fresh water, and how the meandering Dalyan Channel, around 1.5 metres deep and 10 km long, carries its waters to the Mediterranean. The Yuvarlakcay is also known for its large trout farming. Reed beds, small deltas and sulphurous thermal springs used for wellness are all part of this special landscape. Afterwards you return to your hotel. Overnight in Koycegiz.
Day 3 Koycegiz cooking class & shopping - Turkish bath & free time π½ Breakfast Β· Lunch βΎ
Following breakfast you are collected from the hotel and taken to a local restaurant for a professional cooking lesson. Cooking side by side with a local is one of the most enjoyable ways to understand Turkish village life and culture, and the Koycegiz countryside is an ideal setting for it. Step by step you prepare traditional dishes and then sit down to enjoy them as lunch. In the afternoon you are taken to the town centre for free time and shopping, before being dropped back at your hotel. Overnight in Koycegiz.
Day 4 Turkish bath & free time - Fethiye, Kayakoy & Oludeniz π½ Breakfast βΎ
After breakfast a vehicle picks you up for a visit to a traditional Turkish bath. The hamam is a cherished part of Turkish culture, still enjoyed in towns and cities across the country, and makes a relaxing break in the middle of your holiday. The time of the visit is arranged according to your wishes and the hamam's available hours. Afterwards you head into the town centre to shop and explore at your own pace, then return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Koycegiz.
Day 5 Fethiye, Kayakoy & Oludeniz - Koycegiz to Dalaman Airport π½ Breakfast Β· Lunch βΎ
Today you are picked up after breakfast for a full-day excursion, with a drive of about 1.5 hours toward Oludeniz. The first stop is the Lycian rock-cut Tomb of Amyntas, carved into the cliff for a man of high rank, where you can look around and photograph the sweeping view over Fethiye. You then continue to Kayakoy, the ghost town of an abandoned Greek community, where more than a hundred ruined houses and a few churches climb the hillside. Lunch is served at a restaurant in the heart of the village. In the afternoon you relax on Oludeniz beach and swim in the clear Mediterranean, with photo stops on the way back. Overnight in Koycegiz.
Day 6 Departure - Dalaman π½ Breakfast βΎ
Enjoy breakfast and some free time until your departure transfer. At the agreed time you are driven back to Dalaman Airport for your flight home. We hope these six days of lake scenery, home cooking, hamam relaxation and Turquoise Coast beaches have been memorable, and we look forward to welcoming you again on another journey in Turkey.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized β from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
