Hazelnut orchards cover the slopes around Giresun, and the city is often called Turkey’s hazelnut capital. This four-day tour combines the sights of the Giresun and Ordu coast with a day in the kitchen, giving you a feel for both the landscapes and the food culture of the eastern Black Sea. You stay three nights in the same hotel in Giresun, are met and seen off at Ordu-Giresun Airport, and travel with a professional English-speaking guide.
On the coastal day you visit Tirebolu Castle on its seaside rock, then drive on to Giresun and climb to Giresun Castle, a hilltop viewpoint over the town and harbour. An optional boat trip to Giresun Island can be added at extra cost. The afternoon takes you to Ordu, where a cable car rises to Boztepe for a bird’s-eye view of the city and the sea, followed by free time and a walk through the centre and along the beach. A visit to a chocolate factory on the drive back closes the day.
The third day belongs to regional cooking. At a local restaurant the chef shows you how to prepare dishes of Giresun cuisine, together with salads and desserts, while your guide explains each stage; you then sit down to enjoy what you have made for lunch. Included in the price are three nights of hotel accommodation in Giresun, three breakfasts and one lunch, the guided city tour and cooking tour, airport transfers, transport in an air-conditioned non-smoking vehicle and entrance fees for the sites in the itinerary.

Welcome to the Black Sea coast. Our team meets you at Ordu-Giresun Airport and drives you to your hotel in Giresun. The rest of the day is free: relax after the journey, look out over the sea or take a short walk in the neighbourhood of the hotel. No sightseeing is planned today. Overnight in Giresun.
Today is a long and scenic day along the coast. Following breakfast you drive to Tirebolu Castle, a compact stronghold standing on a promontory above the water. Roughly forty minutes further on lies Giresun; here you may add an optional boat excursion to Giresun Island at your own cost. You then visit Giresun Castle, enjoy the panorama of the town and have lunch overlooking it (at your own expense). Later you travel on to Ordu and ride the cable car to the Boztepe hill, with free time before a stroll through the centre and on the seafront. A chocolate factory stop rounds off the day before you return to Giresun at about 8 p.m. Overnight in Giresun.
After breakfast you go to a local restaurant where the chef teaches a cooking class, and your guide explains every detail along the way. You prepare dishes from the Giresun kitchen, including salads and desserts, and then enjoy the meal you have cooked as your lunch at the restaurant. Afterwards you return to the hotel and have the rest of the day to yourself. Overnight in Giresun.
Breakfast is served at the hotel before check-out. At the agreed time you are transferred to Ordu-Giresun Airport for your departure flight, and our services end there. We hope you take home good memories of the hazelnut coast, its castles and its kitchen.
