This short three-day holiday takes you to Fethiye, a relaxed harbour town on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, framed by pine-covered hills and a wide gulf dotted with small islands. The program is built around one full day on the water, leaving the rest of your time free to settle in, walk around town and enjoy the seaside atmosphere at your own pace.
The highlight is a full-day boat trip through the Gulf of Fethiye, widely known as the 12 Islands tour. Departing from Fethiye Harbor in the morning, the boat calls at four to six bays and islands. At Flat Island the water is very shallow and calm, which makes the small beach ideal for children and less confident swimmers. At Cleopatra's Bath you can swim near the boat or look around the old bath house, and at Dock Yard Island you will see the remains of an important ancient shipyard that was largely destroyed by the earthquake of 1957. Lunch is served on board, and the rest of the day is about swimming, sunbathing and enjoying the views across the gulf.
Please note that the 12 Islands boat trip operates only between May and September. For travel dates outside this season, the boat day can be replaced by an alternative excursion such as a visit to Saklikent Gorge, among the longest canyons in the country, or a jeep safari through the countryside around Fethiye.
The package includes two nights of hotel accommodation in Fethiye, two breakfasts, one lunch on the boat and two dinners, arrival and departure transfers from Dalaman Airport or the Fethiye bus station, transport in an air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle and the services of a professional English-speaking guide on the boat day. Upon your arrival at Dalaman Airport or the Fethiye bus station, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After completing the check-in process, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You may choose to explore the vibrant streets of Fethiye, visit the local harbor, or simply relax after your journey. Dinner is provided at your hotel, where you will spend the night, preparing for the coastal adventures ahead.
After breakfast, we depart from Fethiye Harbor at 09:30 for a full day of exploration in the Gulf of Fethiye. We will visit several picturesque bays and islands, including Flat Island, which features shallow, calm waters perfect for swimming. We also visit Cleopatraβs Bath, where you can swim around the boat or look around the old bath house, and Dock Yard Island to view the historical remnants of an antique shipyard. A fresh lunch is served on board. The rest of the day is reserved for swimming and sunbathing in the clear waters of the gulf before the boat heads back to the harbor. (The boat trip runs from May to September; outside this period an alternative such as Saklikent Gorge or a jeep safari is offered.) Dinner and overnight stay in Fethiye.
Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Depending on your onward travel arrangements, you will be transferred back to Dalaman Airport or the Fethiye bus station for your departure.
