Journey across the ancient and dramatic east of Turkey on this thirteen-day heritage and nature tour, a sweeping private circuit from Mesopotamia to the Black Sea arranged in-house by Inca Tour, a TURSAB-licensed operator since 2007 with your own English-speaking guide. From the world's oldest temple at Göbeklitepe and the god-king statues of Mount Nemrut to the lakes of Van, the ruins of Ani and the misty tea hills above Trabzon, it gathers the greatest sights of eastern Anatolia into one unforgettable journey.
The tour begins in Şanlıurfa, the city of prophets, with its sacred Pool of Abraham, before the astonishing standing stones of Göbeklitepe and the beehive houses of Harran. You cross Southeastern Anatolia to witness sunset among the giant heads of Mount Nemrut, then descend to the terraced old town of Mardin and the ancient Tigris city of Hasankeyf on your way to the shores of Lake Van, where you visit the Nemrut crater lake and sail to Akdamar Island and its carved Armenian church.
Travelling north you reach Doğubayazıt and the fairy-tale İshak Pasha Palace beneath Mount Ararat, then Kars and the haunting ruins of medieval Ani on the Armenian border. Crossing into the lush Black Sea region you pause at the Tortum Waterfall, the tea plantations of Rize and the cliff-clinging Sümela Monastery above Trabzon, where the tour ends. With comfortable hotels, daily breakfasts, guiding and all transport included, it is a deep and rewarding immersion in the history, faith and landscapes of eastern Turkey. Prices are per person and fall as your group grows.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
