My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
Combine the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia with the mountain-top gods of Nemrut on this active six-day private tour, arranged in-house by Inca Tour, a TURSAB-licensed operator since 2007. Travelling with your own English-speaking guide and vehicle at your own pace, you trek the valleys of Cappadocia before heading east to the UNESCO-listed summit of Mount Nemrut, the biblical city of Şanlıurfa and the beehive houses of Harran.
The first three days are spent exploring Cappadocia on foot: the Göreme Open-Air Museum and the old village of Çavuşin, the lunar landscape of Devrent, the viewpoints of Esentepe and Zelve, the Damsa reservoir and the Soğanlı valley, followed by a descent into the Derinkuyu underground city and a walk through the Ihlara canyon to Belisırma and the clifftop Selime Monastery, with the finest fairy chimneys at Paşabağ.
On day four you cross the Taurus Mountains via the Seljuk Karatay caravanserai and the ice-cream city of Kahramanmaraş to reach Kahta, the base for Mount Nemrut. Before dawn the next morning you climb to the summit to watch the sun rise over the giant carved heads of Antiochus and his gods, then descend past Arsameia, the Roman Cendere Bridge and the Karakuş tumulus, pausing at the vast Atatürk Dam on the way to Şanlıurfa and its bazaar, Abraham's cave and the holy carp pools. The final day visits Harran's beehive houses before the drive back to Cappadocia, where the tour ends.
Comfortable cave hotels in Cappadocia and a hotel in Kahta, most meals, all guiding and entrance fees and air-conditioned transport are included. Prices are per person, shown for two sharing a double room; a light level of walking and some early starts are involved.

On arrival in Cappadocia you begin a tour of the region's highlights — the Göreme Open-Air Museum, the old village of Çavuşin, the Ortahisar rock castle, the fairy chimneys of Ürgüp and the pottery town of Avanos — ending with the panorama of the Göreme valley from Esentepe. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
A day among quieter corners of Cappadocia: the "Imagination Valley" of Devrent, the first Christian settlement at Zelve, the Greek houses of Mustafapaşa, a picnic by the Damsa reservoir and the cave churches of the Soğanlı valley. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
Descend into the vast Derinkuyu underground city, then trek a section of the Ihlara canyon to the riverside village of Belisırma for lunch, visiting the Selime Monastery, the Silk-Road caravanserai of Ağzıkarahan, Avanos and the striking fairy chimneys of Paşabağ. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
Travel east across the Taurus Mountains, stopping at the Seljuk Karatay caravanserai and sampling the famous stretchy ice cream of Kahramanmaraş, before arriving in Kahta in the evening. Kahta is the gateway to Mount Nemrut, where in the first century BC King Antiochus of Commagene built his tomb-sanctuary ringed by eight-metre statues of himself and the gods. Dinner and overnight in Kahta.
Set out before dawn for the summit of Mount Nemrut and its unforgettable sunrise over the colossal stone heads. On the way down you see Arsameia, the single-arch Roman Cendere Bridge and the Karakuş tumulus, then pass the Atatürk Dam en route to Şanlıurfa, where you visit the covered bazaar, the cave of the Prophet Abraham and the sacred carp pools of Balıklıgöl, before returning to Kahta. Dinner and overnight in Kahta.
After breakfast you drive to Harran to see its inner castle and distinctive beehive houses and the bald-ibis breeding centre at Birecik, with a tea stop in the Taurus Mountains and lunch in Pozantı before continuing to Göreme in Cappadocia, where the tour ends. We wish you a safe journey home.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
