Pera Museum

Pera Museum is a private art institution that opened on June 8, 2005, established by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation. Located in the Beyoglu district of Istanbul, the museum occupies a five-story building offering a broad range of culture and arts services. The lower floors house permanent exhibitions featuring orientalist paintings, Anatolian weights and measures, and Kütahya tiles and ceramics, while the upper floors rotate contemporary and modern art displays.

The museum features well-curated collections spanning Turkish and international art, including paintings, drawings, ceramics, and various decorative objects. A notable highlight is the iconic "Tortoise Trainer" painting by Osman Hamdi Bey. Each floor includes clean, modern facilities and signage in both English and Turkish. The ground level includes a café and museum shop.

The museum is closed on Mondays, with extended hours on Friday evenings and free entry after 6:00 PM on Fridays.
