About Çanakkale Namazgah Battery Museum
The Namazgah Battery is the first and largest battery built at the narrowest point of the Çanakkale Strait, on the Kilitbahir (Rumeli) side. It features 26 artillery bonnets (gun emplacements) of various sizes that were used for different purposes during the battles, with the centrally located bonnet now serving as the museum's exhibition space. Displays include war objects, artefacts recovered from archaeological excavations, and photographs and drawings from historical archives. Interactive elements include a re-enactment of the March 18, 1915 communications and the documentary 'Reflections from the Depths' about the naval vessels sunk in the strait.
