Sargon Hotel & Cafe

ℹ️ About Sargon Hotel & Cafe

Sargon Hotel & Cafe stands in Midyat, a district within the Mardin region of southeastern Turkey. The town has long drawn visitors with its historic stone architecture and traditional atmosphere, and the hotel places guests within this setting, giving them a base from which to explore the wider cultural heritage of Mardin province. Staying here means being surrounded by the same building traditions that define the district itself.

The heart of the property is its stone courtyard, which takes on a different character after dark when warm lighting illuminates the open space. Seating areas are arranged around it, inviting guests to settle in outdoors, while a covered bar area with wooden detailing and bar stools stands alongside tables set for dining. The combination of stone, wood and evening light gives the courtyard its distinctive feel, and it works equally well for a quiet drink at the bar or a meal at one of the laid tables.

Inside, the guest rooms continue the same architectural language. Stone walls and arched alcoves frame spaces furnished with wooden beds dressed in colourful textiles, and private bathrooms serve every unit, with bathtubs available in some of them. The interiors echo the historic character of Midyat while providing the practical comforts travellers expect from their accommodation.

The hotel suits travellers looking for characterful accommodation in a historic setting, particularly couples and small groups whose interest lies in the architecture and atmosphere of Midyat. Rather than a generic stay, it offers rooms and communal spaces that reflect the district's building traditions.
