My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!

About Şirince and Selçuk Market
Şirince was a Greek village called Kirkince until the population exchange of 1923, when families from northern Greece settled here and continued its traditions of wine making and olive growing. Its restored stone houses, many of them small guesthouses today, and its hillside lanes make it one of the most photogenic villages of the Aegean. Down in the valley, Selçuk's Saturday market is a weekly meeting point for farmers from the surrounding villages and a great place to taste figs, olives and fresh village cheese.
Getting There from Izmir
Selçuk is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Izmir and Şirince a further 15 minutes up the valley. The relaxed pace leaves plenty of time for tasting, shopping and lunch at your own choice before the drive back to Izmir.

Şirince Village & Selçuk Saturday Market ProgrammeYou are collected from your hotel in Izmir on Saturday morning. The first stop is Selçuk on market day. Every Saturday the streets beside the town's aqueduct fill with one of the liveliest open-air bazaars of the Aegean: farmers sell seasonal fruit, olives, cheese, spices and village bread, alongside textiles and household goods. Your guide shows you around and leaves time to taste and shop like a local. The road then climbs through olive groves and vineyards to Şirince, a hill village of whitewashed stone houses built by its former Greek inhabitants. You stroll the cobbled lanes past the churches of St John the Baptist and St Demetrius, browse the stalls of olive oil soap, lace and handmade crafts, and can taste the village's famous fruit wines at your own expense. At the end of the day the vehicle takes you back to your hotel in Izmir.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
