This daily tour from Denizli takes you to the Roman city of Ephesus and the hillside wine village of Sirince in one guided day. Hotel pick-up in Denizli, return transport to Selcuk, an English-speaking guide, lunch and entrance fees are included, so you can enjoy the highlights of Ephesus without worrying about the long drive or the logistics. It suits travellers staying in Denizli or Pamukkale who want to add the west coast's most famous ancient site to their itinerary.
In Ephesus you walk in the footsteps of Roman citizens along Curetes Street, paved in marble and lined with monuments, past the well-known Roman Baths to the elegant facade of the Library of Celsus. The Grand Theatre, which once held around 25,000 spectators, invites you to sit on its stone seats and imagine the performances and gatherings of the past, and you also visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, while the Arcadian Way leads towards the long-vanished harbour. Lunch is taken at a small Turkish restaurant before the drive up to Sirince, a 19th-century village whose houses keep their original architecture and whose churches of St John the Baptist and St Dimitrios recall its Greek past.
Sirince is renowned across Turkey for its home-made fruit wines, crafted from blackberries, blueberries, melons, strawberries and more, and you have time to taste them, sip a Turkish coffee and learn how the wines are produced. On the way back to Denizli the tour stops at a carpet weaving centre or a leather production centre for those who like to shop. This day trip from Denizli is offered as a private daily excursion for couples, families and history enthusiasts.

Ephesus & Sirince Programme In the morning you are picked up from your hotel in Denizli and driven west in an air-conditioned vehicle towards Selcuk, the town where both Ephesus and Sirince are located. On arrival your English-speaking guide begins with the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, before leading you into Ephesus itself. You stroll down Curetes Street with its marble paving and monuments, see the famous Roman Baths and stop in front of the beautifully restored Library of Celsus. The walk continues to the Grand Theatre, where you can take a seat and picture the crowds that once filled it, and the Arcadian Way that ran to the old harbour. Lunch is served at a small Turkish restaurant. Afterwards the tour climbs into the hills to Sirince, a village whose 19th-century houses preserve their original character and whose churches of St John the Baptist and St Dimitrios tell of its Greek heritage. Sirince is celebrated for fruit wines made from blackberries, blueberries, melons and strawberries, and you have time to taste them and find out how they are made. On the return journey there is a stop at a carpet weaving centre or a leather production centre, and you are then driven back to your hotel in Denizli.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
