The daily Cesme and Alacati tour from Kusadasi takes you north along the Aegean to two of the best-loved seaside towns of the Izmir peninsula, combining village charm, a lively bazaar and time by the sea in a single day tour. Hotel pickup and drop-off, a professional English-speaking guide, lunch and an air-conditioned, non-smoking coach are all part of this daily excursion.
Cruise passengers docking in Kuşadası can book the Cesme & Alacati Tour as a convenient Kuşadası shore excursion during their port call. With a private vehicle and guide, the day is timed to your ship’s arrival and departure, so you can enjoy the sights without worrying about the all-aboard deadline. Tell us how many hours your ship stays in port and we will confirm that the full programme fits comfortably. Just tell us the ship and the day it calls at Kuşadası — we take care of the rest.
The Cesme & Alacati Tour is also arranged for visitors coming over from Samos or Patmos for the day. Catch the early ferry to Kuşadası (from Samos the ferry takes 45 minutes; from Patmos the ferry takes about 3 hours) and you will be back on the island the same evening. Our team welcomes you at the Kuşadası ferry port and makes sure the day ends in time for your return crossing. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Alacati grew up as a Greek-Turkish village of vineyards and windmills, and its hillside quarter of pale stone houses with coloured shutters has been carefully restored. Today the lanes are filled with small boutiques, cafes and craft shops, and the wind that once turned the mills now makes the bay one of Turkey's favourite windsurfing spots. Wandering here is the best way to feel the relaxed rhythm of the Aegean.
Cesme, at the tip of the peninsula, centres on a marina, a seafront promenade and an Ottoman fortress built in the early sixteenth century to guard the strait facing the island of Chios. Its bazaar is a good place to look for leather goods and local crafts, while the clear, cool water of its beaches is famous across the region. Entrance fees mentioned in the programme are covered, but any beach entrance and personal extras are paid separately. This daily tour includes some walking, and the Cesme day trip from Kusadasi is rated moderate.

Alacati & Cesme Programme The day starts with a pickup from your hotel in Kusadasi, followed by a scenic drive of about an hour and a half towards the Cesme peninsula in the west of Izmir province. The first stop is Alacati, where you have roughly an hour of free time to stroll through the stone-house quarter, browse the small shops and take photographs in its narrow streets. The coach then continues a short distance to Cesme, where the group stops for lunch. Afterwards you have around an hour to explore Cesme Bazaar, with stalls of handmade leather, carpets, souvenirs, jewellery, pottery and Turkish sweets. A visit to Cesme Castle can be added as an option for those interested in the town's history. If you would rather enjoy the sea, about two hours can be spent swimming at one of the private beaches of Cesme before the drive back. The tour ends with a transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi at the end of the day.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
