My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
5 Days Adana City & Cooking Tour: Mosques, Stone Bridge, Cooking Class & Hamam Private Tour
Highlights of the Adana City & Cooking Tour
This five-day journey takes you deep into Adana, one of southern Turkey's most flavourful and historically layered cities, where eighteen civilisations have left their mark on streets, bridges and bazaars. Based in a single comfortable hotel for four nights, you explore the city at an unhurried pace, with a fully guided programme that mixes landmarks, local food culture and genuine relaxation.
Your city day begins at the monumental Sabanci Central Mosque, whose six minarets and Ottoman-inspired interior make it one of Turkey's largest places of worship. From there you cross the centuries on the Stone Bridge, a Byzantine structure from the 6th century that remains in use, then admire the Great Clock Tower, the coppersmiths' Kettle Bazaar with its old hamam and historic inns, and the Church of Babies. The Ethnography Museum and the Ataturk Museum add local colour, and the afternoon ends with sweeping views of the city and its surroundings from Cobandede Park.
Food is the heart of the trip. Adana is famed for its kebabs, biryan, meatballs, salads, desserts and spices, and on day three you roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Turkish cooking lesson and enjoy the lunch you prepare. The day continues with a visit to local vineyards to learn how fruit wine is made, plus a guided stop at a regional leather production centre for shopping without market pressure. A flexible free day, with a transfer to a traditional Turkish hamam whenever you choose, completes a restful and rewarding break.

Day 1 Arrival - Adana city sights and museums ▾
Your journey starts at Adana Airport, where a member of our team greets you and escorts you to your private transfer vehicle. You drive to the city and check in to your hotel in Adana, a comfortable base for the days ahead. The rest of the day is yours to settle in, rest after travelling, and perhaps take a first gentle walk around the neighbourhood to get a feel for the city's easygoing southern rhythm. Tomorrow's sightseeing programme begins after breakfast, so this evening is simply for unwinding and preparing for a rich few days of history, local flavours and hands-on experiences. Overnight in Adana.
Day 2 Adana city sights and museums - Cooking lesson, vineyards and leather shopping 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast, your guide collects you from the hotel at 08:30 for a full day of sightseeing. The first stop is the Sabanci Central Mosque, a vast sanctuary with six minarets and an interior reminiscent of Edirne's Selimiye. Next comes the Stone Bridge, a Byzantine work of the 6th century that is still crossed today. You then see the Great Clock Tower, built in 1882 and restored in 1935, and wander through the Kettle Bazaar, a trading quarter dating to about 1519 with its old hamam and historic inns. The Church of Babies, the Ethnography Museum and the Ataturk Museum follow, and along the way your guide introduces Adana's famous cuisine. The day closes at Cobandede Park, with broad views over the city and landscape, before you return to your hotel. Overnight in Adana.
Day 3 Cooking lesson, vineyards and leather shopping - Free day and Turkish hamam 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
Following breakfast, you are picked up at 08:30 for a day devoted to the flavours of Turkey. After a short orientation and a look around Adana, you join your first Turkish cooking lesson, tasting dishes from different regions and then preparing a meal that becomes your lunch. In the afternoon you visit local vineyards, where Turkish wine makers show you how fruit wine is produced, and later you can test what you have learned in a light-hearted quiz. On the way you stop at one of the region's well-known leather production centres, where a guided visit lets you shop at factory rates without the pushy atmosphere of a typical market. In the evening you return to your hotel. Overnight in Adana.
Day 4 Free day and Turkish hamam - Departure from Adana 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast, today is entirely relaxed. You are free to rest, stroll, browse the shops or simply enjoy the city at your own tempo. During the day you can ask to be collected and taken to a hamam in Adana whenever it suits you, to experience a traditional Turkish bath, one of the country's best-loved cultural rituals and a wonderful way to feel refreshed after the busy days of sightseeing and cooking. When you have had enough, you are transferred back to your hotel and can spend a quiet evening, perhaps recalling your favourite dishes of the trip. Overnight in Adana.
Day 5 Departure from Adana - End of Tour 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After a final breakfast, you check out of the hotel and are driven to Adana Airport for your onward flight. This last transfer brings your Adana adventure to a close, and we hope you leave with a fuller understanding of the city's long history, a few new recipes to try at home and memories of its warm hospitality. Allow yourself comfortable time to reach the airport. Have a safe journey back, and we look forward to welcoming you again on another tour in Turkey.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
