About The Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews
The Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews is located in the Sishane neighborhood near the Neve Shalom Synagogue and Galata Tower in Istanbul. The museum has three sections that illustrate Turkish Jewish life, history, religion and culture, featuring historical documents, religious artifacts, and items donated by members of Istanbul's Jewish community. Visitors can access the adjoining Neve Shalom Synagogue directly from the museum.
The museum is compact and can be explored in less than an hour, with exhibits presented in English covering centuries of Jewish presence in Turkey. The facility maintains strict security protocols, requiring visitors to present a passport or identification at entry, and a small gift shop is available on-site.
