Museum Of Innocence

The Museum of Innocence is an innovative installation-based museum located in the Cukurcuma neighborhood of Istanbul. The museum is based on Turkish author Orhan Pamuk's novel of the same name and serves as a physical manifestation of the book's narrative. It showcases everyday objects and artifacts that tell the story of the protagonist's love for a character named Füsun, spanning the years 1974 to 1984 in Istanbul's history.

The museum occupies a small, intimate house setting and is designed to blur the lines between literature and physical exhibition. It is organized across three floors with numbered cabinets that correspond to the chapters of the novel, filled with objects such as old clocks, keys, newspapers, and cinema tickets. Visitors are encouraged to use the audio guide, available in English and Russian, which provides detailed context for the displayed items. The museum typically operates from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, closed on Mondays.
