About Ege University Ethnography Museum
The Ege University Ethnography Museum is located in Izmir at Erzene, Fevzi Çakmak Caddesi No:33, in the Bornova district. The museum is organised into two main sections: one dedicated to musical instruments and another showcasing traditional costumes from Turkey and the Balkans, the latter noted for its well-preserved and carefully displayed garments.
The museum is open Monday and Tuesday through Thursday from 09:00 to 16:00 and is closed at weekends. It lies within easy reach of central Bornova, about a 7-minute walk from Bornova station and 9 minutes from Ege University, and offers a quality ethnographic collection with a modest entrance fee.
