About Dogancay Museum

The Dogancay Museum is Turkey's first private museum, located on Balo Street in the Beyoglu district of Istanbul, near the pedestrianized shopping avenue Istiklal Caddesi. The museum showcases the works of world-renowned Turkish artist Burhan Dogancay, featuring his paintings, photographs, collages, and shadow works spanning his entire career. A smaller section honors the landscape and portrait paintings of his father, Adil Dogancay.

The museum occupies a renovated apartment building and spans multiple floors with rotating exhibitions. Admission is free, and the compact gallery is within walking distance of Taksim Square, generally open from 10 AM to 6 PM and closed on Mondays.
