My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This same day Ephesus and Pamukkale tour links two of Turkey's most celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a single, carefully timed itinerary. It runs between the airports of Denizli and Izmir, in either direction, so it fits neatly between two flights: you can start with the white terraces of Pamukkale and finish among the marble streets of Ephesus, or travel the route the other way round from Izmir.
This Same Day Ephesus & Pamukkale Tour also works as a shore excursion from the İzmir cruise port — a popular choice for passengers who have one day ashore. As a private excursion it is fully flexible — pickup is right at the pier, the pace follows your group, and we make sure you are back on board well before departure. Tell us how many hours your ship stays in port and we will confirm that the full programme fits comfortably. Simply share your cruise itinerary and the date you are in İzmir, and we will reserve your places.
Hierapolis was founded in the 2nd century BC and flourished under Rome as a healing centre built around its hot springs. Your guide leads you past its vast Necropolis, the Roman baths and the basilica, through the Frontinus Gate and along Frontinus Street to the Byzantine Gate, the public latrine, the Triton Fountain, the Temple of Apollo and the theatre. Below the city, calcium-rich water has created the snow-white travertine terraces of Pamukkale, whose name means "Cotton Castle"; you walk barefoot among the warm pools and may also bathe in the Antique Pool, where submerged column fragments lie beneath the water.
The afternoon belongs to Ephesus, once a great harbour city and trading hub of the Roman province of Asia. Walking its marble-paved avenues you will see the Great Theatre, the Gate of Hadrian, the Library of Celsus and the relief of the goddess Nike. Near Selcuk, the Isa Bey Mosque, completed in 1374–75, is one of the finest examples of early Anatolian Turkish architecture from the Beylik period.
Practical notes: this daily excursion involves around 2.5 hours of driving between the two sites, so comfortable shoes, sun protection and swimwear for the pools are recommended. It is an ideal Pamukkale day trip from Izmir for travellers short on time, and a daily tour that turns a transfer day into the highlight of a holiday.

Pamukkale, Hierapolis & Ephesus Programme The day begins at Denizli Airport, where your guide and driver meet you and drive you up to Pamukkale (the same programme can also run in reverse, starting at Izmir Airport). The first visit is the ancient city of Hierapolis: you walk past the Necropolis, the Roman baths and the basilica, pass through the Frontinus Gate and follow Frontinus Street towards the Byzantine Gate, the latrine, the Triton Fountain, the Temple of Apollo and the theatre. Next comes the Antique Pool, often called Cleopatra's Pool, where there is free time to swim among sunken columns and take photographs. You then head to the travertines and have around an hour to wander the white limestone terraces and their warm, shallow pools. After a break for lunch, the vehicle sets off on the drive of roughly 2.5 hours to Ephesus, where your guide shows you the marble streets, the Great Theatre, the Gate of Hadrian, the Library of Celsus and the figure of Nike. The final stop is the Isa Bey Mosque in Selcuk, built in 1374–75, before you continue to Izmir Airport for your onward journey.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
