Trakya Üniversitesi Doğa Tarihi Müzesi

The Trakya University Natural History Museum is a newly opened institution, established in 2023, situated next to the historic railway building near the Lausanne Monument in Edirne. Its specimens were prepared by the university's Faculty of Biology Department according to professional museum standards.

The collection encompasses 754 species of diverse organisms, including invertebrates, insects, molluscs, plants, fish, reptiles, birds and mammals, gathered mainly from the Thrace region and various other parts of the country. The displays are organised by taxonomic group and serve as an educational resource highlighting the natural heritage of Thrace and Turkey more broadly.
