Melis Pansiyon is a friendly, family-run guesthouse in the Çarşı quarter of central Bodrum, on Türkkuyusu Caddesi. Few places in town are as convenient: the Bodrum bus station is only about 600 metres away, Bodrum Castle about 500 metres and Bodrum Marina under 1 km. The harbour, fish restaurants, cafés, shops and bars of the old town are all within easy walking distance, while the pension itself sits on a quieter street.

The traditional white and red timber-clad building opens onto a shaded inner garden with lemon trees, where breakfast is served at wooden tables in a covered garden breakfast room. Guests regularly mention the generous Turkish breakfast, the clean rooms and the helpful hosts, and the garden is a pleasant place to relax after a day at the beach or on a boat trip.

Rooms are bright and practical, with air conditioning, mosquito nets on the windows and private bathrooms, in twin, double and family configurations suitable for up to four guests. Some units are apartments with a kitchenette, dining table and sofa, which suits families and travellers on longer stays. Free WiFi is available throughout, and the whole property is non-smoking.
