Kaya Pansiyon is a small, family-run guesthouse in the Çarşı quarter of Bodrum town centre, set on a side street off Cevat Şakir Caddesi. The same local family has welcomed guests here since 1987, and the house sits right among the shops, restaurants and bars of the old bazaar. Bodrum Castle is about 400 metres away, the bus station roughly 600 metres and Bodrum Marina under a kilometre, so the town beach, the harbour and the evening promenade are all an easy walk from the door.

The heart of the property is its shaded courtyard garden, decorated with plants, blue shutters and cushioned seating, where breakfast is served and where the house bar welcomes guests in the evening. A covered terrace dining area on the upper floor looks out over the rooftops of the town. Free high-speed WiFi is available, pets are allowed, children stay free and paid public parking can be found nearby. Boat trips and diving excursions can be arranged locally.

The guesthouse suits independent travellers, couples and small families who want a simple, characterful base in the middle of Bodrum rather than a large resort. It is ideal for days at the beach or on a boat and evenings in the restaurants of the centre; as anywhere in the old town, the street can be lively at night.
