My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
5 Days Bodrum Stopover: Castle of St. Peter, Mausoleum & Village Tour (Private Tour)
A Short Break on the Bodrum Peninsula
This stopover package turns a few days in Bodrum into a well-rounded holiday. You stay four nights at Salmakis Beach Resort & Spa with breakfast and dinner, and two guided outings show both sides of the peninsula: its ancient past in town and its rural life in the hills. Airport or bus-station transfers are included, making it an easy add-on to a longer trip in Turkey.
The city tour starts at the Castle of St. Peter, built by the Knights of St. John from 1402 onwards and today home to Turkey's largest museum of underwater archaeology, with finds from the Bronze Age to the Byzantine period and a reconstructed ancient shipwreck. Nearby lies the site of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the tomb of King Mausolus that gave its name to every grand tomb since and counted among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World; its stones were later reused in the castle. The tour ends at the ancient theatre on the hillside above the town, begun in Mausolus' time.
The village tour heads about 20 minutes inland to a hill village where you visit the teahouse, the mosque and village homes, taste home cooking and local spirits, and see kilims and carpets woven by the women of the village.
A full free day lets you enjoy the resort's beach or choose from local activities such as the aqua park, scuba diving or a fishing trip. Flights, lunches and optional activities are not included.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
