Suhut Ataturk Evi

Suhut Ataturk Evi, the Hacivelioglu Mansion, was constructed in 1897 and holds significant historical importance for its role during Turkey's War of Independence, when it served as a military headquarters for Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Ataturk stayed at the residence for one night before departing to march toward Kocatepe, located roughly 20 kilometers to the west, where large-scale military operations against Greek forces would begin.

The preserved mansion, in Afyonkarahisar's Suhut district, stands as a key site in Turkish independence history, allowing visitors to connect with the strategic decisions and leadership that shaped the founding of the modern Turkish Republic.
