Luleltasi Muzesi

Luleltasi Muzesi is a specialty museum in Eskişehir, Turkey, dedicated to meerschaum (lületaşı), a soft mineral stone native to the region. The museum is situated within a complex that includes a mosque, library and craft center in a garden setting in the historic Odunpazarı district. It features displays of intricately hand-carved meerschaum objects, particularly pipes, alongside artisan shops where visitors can watch craftspeople at work and purchase handmade pieces.

The museum explains the history and craftsmanship involved in meerschaum production, with exhibitions covering the various stages required to create finished pieces. Centrally positioned within the old city and accessible by tram, entrance is free. The surrounding Odunpazarı district is filled with restored Ottoman houses, many of which host additional craft spaces, teahouses and restaurants.
