Beypazarı Tarih Ve Kültür Müzesi
About Beypazarı Tarih Ve Kültür Müzesi
The Beypazarı Museum of History and Culture is housed in a three-story Ottoman mansion built in 1850, located in Ankara's Beypazarı borough. The building began functioning as a museum in 1997 after being donated to the Ankara Province Special Administration, and was transferred to Beypazarı Municipality in 2014. It serves as a living memorial that connects the past and present, offering visitors an immersive experience of traditional Turkish domestic life.
The museum features authentically arranged rooms representing different aspects of family life, including sleeping quarters, guest areas, bride rooms, children's spaces, and prayer rooms organized according to historical family structures. Display areas showcase furnishings, household items, and everyday objects from the period. Special exhibits highlight Beypazarı's seven-day wedding traditions through locally made clothing and artifacts, and the garden contains archaeological pieces from the Roman and Byzantine periods. Admission is free.
