My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
Our Sirince village tour from Kusadasi is a relaxed daily excursion into the hills above Selcuk, where whitewashed stone houses, steep lanes and family-made fruit wines have made Sirince one of the most charming villages in the Aegean. Hotel pickup, air-conditioned transport, a professional English-speaking guide and the return transfer are included, so all you need to do is stroll, taste and browse.
This Sirince Village Tour also works as a shore excursion from the Kuşadası cruise port — a popular choice for passengers who have one day ashore. Shared departures follow a fixed timetable, so please send us your ship’s arrival and departure times when booking — we confirm pier pickup or suggest the private option for tight port calls. Tell us how many hours your ship stays in port and we will confirm that the full programme fits comfortably. Simply share your cruise itinerary and the date you are in Kuşadası, and we will reserve your places.
Guests staying on Samos or Patmos can enjoy the Sirince Village Tour as a day trip from the Greek islands to Turkey — from Samos the ferry takes 45 minutes; from Patmos the ferry takes about 3 hours, so the excursion can be planned between the morning and evening sailings. Pickup is at the Kuşadası ferry terminal, and the tour is timed so you can catch the return ferry comfortably. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Sirince sits on a plateau about 7 km from Selcuk, behind a green valley and ringed by mountains. Remains of some 42 churches and monasteries are scattered in and around it, which is why it is sometimes nicknamed the Ephesus of the mountains. Thanks to its status as a protected area, most of the original buildings survive, including the two churches at its heart. The architecture is the work of the Anatolian Greeks who lived here until 1922, when they left for Greece and Turkish families arriving from Greece settled in their homes.
Local tradition also links the village to the Virgin Mary, whose followers are said to have lived here and cared for her in secret, and your guide shares these stories as you walk. Spring, especially April and May, is a lovely time for this Sirince day trip. It is a gentle day tour with very little effort required, and a pleasant daily tour for anyone curious about village life, food and wine. Lunch is not included; you are free to eat in one of the village restaurants.

Sirince Wine Tasting & Village Programme In the morning your guide meets you in the lobby of your hotel in Kusadasi, and an air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle takes you inland towards Selcuk and up to Sirince, a village perched on a plateau roughly 7 km away and framed by a valley and mountains. On arrival your guide introduces the village, its well-preserved Anatolian Greek houses and the two churches in the centre, dedicated to St. John the Baptist and St. Dimitrios. You hear why the area, scattered with the remains of around 42 churches and monasteries, is called the Ephesus of the mountains, and learn the local legends connecting Sirince with the Virgin Mary and her disciples. The village changed hands in 1922, when its Greek inhabitants moved to Greece and Turkish families from Greece took their place. Next comes the tasting of the fruit wines, including apple wine, that local families produce, followed by free time to walk the cobbled lanes, enjoy the views from the village entrance and browse shops selling handmade goods and souvenirs. After the visit you are driven back to your hotel in Kusadasi.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
