My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
The Rose and Red Valley day tour from Kayseri brings you into the heart of Cappadocia for a guided walk among pink and red rock formations shaped by volcanic eruptions around ten million years ago. With hotel pick-up in Kayseri, transport, an English-speaking guide and lunch included, it is a straightforward full-day tour for travellers based in the city who want to experience the valleys on foot.
Rose Valley spreads between the villages of Goreme and Cavusin and is made up of several smaller gorges, including Gulludere, Kizilcukur, Meskendir and Zindanonu. Volcanic ash and lava laid down millions of years ago hardened into tuff, which wind and water then eroded into ridges, cones and pinnacles. The rock takes on different shades of pink and red as the light, season and weather change, so every visit looks a little different. Over the centuries, local communities carved dwellings and churches into these cliffs, and walking among them shows how people made a life inside the landscape itself.
The most popular trail is about 3.5 km and takes roughly two hours, while easier and harder variations exist. The tour is rated as moderate, so comfortable walking shoes, a hat and water are advisable. Entrance fees for the sites in the itinerary are covered. As a Cappadocia day trip from Kayseri, this daily excursion is a rewarding daily tour and an easy way to swap city streets for some of Turkey's most striking scenery and to return to your hotel the same evening.

Rose & Red Valley Programme from Kayseri The day begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Kayseri, followed by a drive in an air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle into the Cappadocia region. Your English-speaking guide meets you for the hike into the Rose Valley, the large valley between the villages of Goreme and Cavusin that divides into several smaller gorges: Gulludere, Kizilcukur (the Red Valley), Meskendir and Zindanonu. As you walk, the guide explains how volcanic tuff was shaped into these colourful formations and why the rock changes tone with the light and the seasons. On the way you visit several cave churches cut into the cliffs, look inside old cave houses and pass through rock-hewn tunnels. The valley has routes of easy, medium and harder difficulty; the most frequently used path is around 3.5 km and takes about two hours, with stops for photographs and stories along the trail. Lunch is included during the day, and entrance fees for the sites on the programme are covered. At the end of the tour you are driven back to your hotel in Kayseri.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
