My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This Demre, Myra and Kekova day tour from Kemer brings together the finest Lycian monuments of the south-west coast: rock-cut tombs, a Roman theatre, a famous church and a boat trip over the sunken city of Simena.
In Myra, close to the town of Demre, you see sets of cliff-face Lycian tombs carved to imitate the timber houses of the period, together with a large, well preserved Roman theatre built against the rock. The Church of St. Nicholas honours the bishop of Myra, born near Patara around AD 300, whose generosity and legendary miracles are linked with the figure of Father Christmas. Many travellers choose this excursion simply for the story behind Santa Claus.
The second half of the day is on the water. A boat trip takes you across to Kekova Island, where earthquakes long ago left parts of ancient Simena beneath the clear sea; the remains of houses lie visible below the surface and along the shore. There is time to swim in turquoise water and to see the Lycian necropolis with its chest-type tombs at Theimussa. Lunch is included, and the group heads back to Kemer in the late afternoon. This day trip runs as a regular or private excursion with hotel pickup.

Demre Myra Kekova Programme Your guide collects you from your hotel in Kemer in the morning and the group drives along the Lycian coast to one of the most beautiful parts of Anatolia. First stop is the ruined city of Myra, near the town of Demre, where Lycian rock-cut tombs face a large Roman theatre set against the cliff. Many of the tombs have carved cabin-like fronts that reflect the domestic architecture of their era. You then visit the Church of St. Nicholas, dedicated to the bishop of Myra, born near Patara around AD 300, whose life stories gave rise to the Father Christmas legend. After this, the programme moves to the sea: a boat trip crosses to Kekova Island, where you can look down through the clear water at the remains of Simena, a city damaged by earthquakes about two thousand years ago. Along the shore are scattered ruins of submerged houses, and the Lycian necropolis with chest-type tombs at Theimussa lies close by. There is time for a swim in the turquoise water. Lunch is included. Between about 15:30 and 16:30 the group leaves for Kemer, with drop-off at your hotel.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
