This six-day stay is designed for travellers who want to see Cappadocia both as a sightseer and as a rider. It opens with a full guided day among the region's best-known monuments and continues with three separate riding days of around four hours each, all from the same hotel base where you spend five nights. Riding routes are suitable for beginners as well as experienced riders, and each excursion includes the transfer from your hotel to the stables together with the help of a tour assistant, so you only need comfortable clothes and a sense of adventure.
The guided sightseeing day starts underground at Ozkonak, one of the best-preserved subterranean cities of the region, then climbs to Uchisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia. At the Goreme Open Air Museum you see rock-cut churches whose frescoes, painted around the 10th and 11th centuries, illustrate the life of Christ. The day continues to the deserted cave houses of Cavusin, the pottery town of Avanos with a stop at a ceramics workshop, the multi-headed fairy chimneys of Love Valley, a carpet and kilim workshop, Devrent Valley with its animal-shaped rocks, a wine shop in Urgup for a tasting and finally the Three Beauties, the capped pinnacles that have become the emblem of Cappadocia.
On horseback you first follow the Kizilirmak, the Red River, to the fishing village of Sarihidir and the 13th-century Seljuk caravanserai of Sarihan. The next two rides take you through the volcanic scenery of Zelve and Pasabagi to the cliff village of Cavusin, giving you time to enjoy the same remarkable landscape in different light and at your own rhythm. Breakfast is included every morning, together with airport transfers from Kayseri or Nevsehir, a meet-and-greet service, museum entrance fees with licensed guidance on the sightseeing day, VAT and hotel taxes.

On landing at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport you are welcomed by our representative and driven to your hotel in Cappadocia. Once you have checked in and collected your room key, the rest of the day is yours. You may prefer to relax after the flight or take an unhurried first look at the volcanic landscape around the hotel. No guided activities or meals are planned on arrival day. Overnight in Cappadocia.
After breakfast you are collected at around 09:30. The first visit is Ozkonak, a deep and well-preserved underground city whose tunnels and chambers sheltered local people in times of danger. Next comes Uchisar Castle, the highest point in the region, followed by the Goreme Open Air Museum with its painted rock churches. You continue to the abandoned cave village of Cavusin and then to Avanos for a lunch break and a pottery workshop demonstration. Afternoon stops include Love Valley, a carpet and kilim workshop, Devrent Valley, a wine tasting at a shop in Urgup and the Three Beauties. You return to the hotel at about 18:00. Following breakfast you are transferred to the riding centre and introduced to your horse. The route traces the banks of the Kizilirmak through farmland and reed beds to Sarihidir, a small riverside village of fishermen, before reaching Sarihan, a caravanserai built by the Seljuks in the 13th century to host travelling merchants. The total riding time is roughly four hours, after which you are driven back to your hotel for a free afternoon. Overnight in Cappadocia.
After breakfast at the hotel you head back to the stables for a ride into the fairy chimney valleys. The trail passes Zelve, a valley settlement carved entirely out of the rock, and Pasabagi, where slender pinnacles stand crowned by dark basalt caps. It finishes at Cavusin, a village whose cliff is pierced by countless small rooms and niches cut into the soft stone. Expect about four hours in the saddle before the transfer to your hotel. Breakfast is followed by a third riding day on the trail through Zelve, Pasabagi and Cavusin. Riding the route a second time lets you settle into the pace of your horse, notice details you missed the day before and enjoy the shapes and colours of the valleys in a different light. Riding time is once again approximately four hours, and the transfer returns you to the hotel afterwards so you can spend a final evening in Cappadocia as you please. Overnight in Cappadocia.
After a last breakfast you check out of the hotel and are transferred to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of our services.
