My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
4 Days Cappadocia Horse Riding Holiday: Kizilirmak River, Sarihan, Zelve & Cavusin Private Tour
Highlights of the 4-Day Cappadocia Horse Riding Package
Cappadocia was once called the land of beautiful horses, and seeing it from the saddle is one of the most rewarding ways to understand its landscape. This four-day package combines three nights of hotel accommodation in Cappadocia with two full riding days, each including roughly four hours on horseback. The routes cross open countryside, riverbanks, volcanic valleys and villages, so you experience the region at a slow, natural pace that no coach tour can match. Trails are chosen to suit a wide range of abilities, from first-time riders to people with years of experience, and the programme is open to all ages.
The first riding day follows the banks of the Kizilirmak, the Red River and the longest river flowing entirely within Turkey, to the small fishing village of Sarihidir. The ride continues to Sarihan, a Seljuk caravanserai from the 13th century that once sheltered merchants travelling the trade routes across Anatolia. On the second riding day the horses head into the heart of the fairy chimney country: the abandoned rock-cut settlement of Zelve, the mushroom-shaped pinnacles of Pasabagi, and the village of Cavusin, whose cliff face is honeycombed with small dwellings and storerooms carved into the soft tuff.
Everything around the rides is arranged for you. A meet-and-greet team welcomes you at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport and drives you to your hotel, and on the last morning you are taken back to the airport after breakfast. Each riding day includes the transfer between your hotel and the stables and the support of a tour assistant, while breakfast is served at the hotel every morning. Entrance fees for the sites in the itinerary, VAT and hotel taxes are covered, leaving the afternoons and evenings free to rest, wander around town or enjoy dinner in a local restaurant at your own expense.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your full program, day by day β click a day to see every stop.
Day 1 Arrival - Kizilirmak River, Sarihidir, Sarihan Caravanserai βΎ
Your holiday begins at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport, where our representative meets you at arrivals and accompanies you on the transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia. After check-in you receive your room key and the remainder of the day is unscheduled. You may want to rest after the journey, take a first walk among the rock formations near your hotel or simply enjoy the evening light over the valleys. There are no guided activities or meals included today. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 2 Kizilirmak River, Sarihidir, Sarihan Caravanserai - Zelve, Pasabagi, Cavusin π½ Breakfast βΎ
After breakfast at the hotel you are driven to the stables, where the horses are matched to your riding experience. The first route follows the banks of the Kizilirmak, the Red River, through quiet farmland to Sarihidir, a tiny village of fishermen on the riverside. From there the trail continues to Sarihan, a caravanserai built in the 13th century by the Seljuks to shelter traders and their animals. In total you spend approximately four hours in the saddle before the transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 3 Zelve, Pasabagi, Cavusin - Cappadocia π½ Breakfast βΎ
Following breakfast you return to the riding area for a second day on horseback, this time among the classic volcanic scenery of Cappadocia. The trail leads through Zelve, where whole valleys were once inhabited in rock-cut houses and chapels, then on to Pasabagi with its tall twin and triple-capped fairy chimneys. The ride ends at the village of Cavusin, where countless cubbyholes and rooms have been hollowed out of the rock face above the houses. Riding time is again about four hours, followed by the transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 4 Departure - Cappadocia π½ Breakfast βΎ
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before checking out of your room. At the agreed time you are collected and transferred to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport in time for your onward flight. This concludes our services; we hope the memories of riding through the valleys and along the Red River stay with you, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Turkey for another journey.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized β from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
