This eight-day itinerary links three very different faces of Turkey: the Mediterranean resort city of Antalya, the volcanic valleys of Cappadocia and the imperial capital of Istanbul. Two domestic flights replace long road transfers, so more of your time goes into sightseeing, with guided touring on five of the eight days.
In Antalya you walk through Kaleiçi, the walled old quarter where Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman layers sit side by side. Your guide points out Hadrian's Gate, the triumphal arch built for the Roman emperor, the Broken Minaret of the Korkut Mosque and the Hıdırlık Tower overlooking the bay, before the afternoon visit to the Düden Waterfalls, where streams from the Taurus Mountains pour towards the sea.
Cappadocia brings a full-day regular tour: Uçhisar Castle, the highest point of the region, the frescoed rock churches of the Göreme Open-Air Museum, the abandoned cave village of Çavuşin, a pottery workshop in Avanos, the animal-shaped rocks of Devrent Valley, wine tasting in Ürgüp and the famous Three Beauties fairy chimneys. A sunrise hot-air balloon flight can be added as an optional extra.
Istanbul gets two guided days. The first covers the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. The second explores the Spice Bazaar and Rüstem Pasha Mosque, a Bosphorus boat tour past Dolmabahçe Palace and the Maiden's Tower, the colourful streets of Balat, the cable car to Pierre Loti Hill and an evening stroll along Istiklal Street.
Accommodation is in central hotels in each city, with daily breakfast, four lunches and four dinners included. The tour suits first-time visitors who want the coast, Cappadocia and Istanbul in a single week.

On arrival at Antalya Airport or the city bus station you are transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to discover Antalya by night. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.
After breakfast, a guided walk through Kaleiçi, the old city: the marina, the Clock Tower, Hadrian's Gate, the Broken Minaret of the Korkut Mosque, originally a 2nd-century Roman temple, and the Hıdırlık Tower where Kaleiçi meets Karaalioğlu Park. Lunch is served at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Düden Waterfalls, fed by streams descending from the Taurus Mountains. Return to the hotel; the rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.
After breakfast, check out by 12:00 and enjoy free time until your transfer to Antalya Airport for the domestic flight to Kayseri. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
Pick-up from your hotel between 08:00 and 09:30 for a full-day regular tour. Start at Uçhisar Castle, the highest point of Cappadocia, then visit the Göreme Open-Air Museum with its 10th-century frescoes. Continue to Çavuşin, an abandoned village of cave houses, and have lunch at a restaurant in Avanos, followed by a pottery workshop. In the afternoon, see the animal-shaped rocks of Devrent (Imagination) Valley, stop at a wine shop in Ürgüp for tasting and finish at the Three Beauties fairy chimneys. Return to the hotel around 18:00. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
After breakfast, free time for shopping in Cappadocia. In the evening, transfer to Kayseri Airport for the domestic flight to Istanbul and then to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Meet your guide at 08:30 at Sultanahmet Square, the former Hippodrome, with the Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpent Column. Visit the Blue Mosque, known for its blue tiles and calligraphy. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore Topkapı Palace, the former residence of the Ottoman sultans, then Hagia Sophia with its great dome and mosaics, and finish in the Grand Bazaar. Topkapı Palace and Basilica Cistern entrance fees are paid on site if you wish to go inside. Please bring a scarf for the mosque visits. Overnight in Istanbul.
Meet your guide at 08:30. Start at the Egyptian (Spice) Bazaar and the nearby Rüstem Pasha Mosque with its Iznik tiles. Follow the city walls and the Golden Horn to board a Bosphorus boat tour, passing the Maiden's Tower, the Bosphorus Bridge, Dolmabahçe Palace and the wooden waterside mansions. After lunch at a local restaurant, walk the colourful streets of Balat, then take the cable car up to Pierre Loti Hill for views over the Golden Horn. The day ends on Istiklal Street with its shops and nostalgic tram. Overnight in Istanbul.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
