My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
6 Days Kutahya Tour: City Heritage, Cooking Class, Phrygian Valley and Aizanoi Private Tour
Highlights of the 6-Day Kutahya, Phrygian Valley and Aizanoi Tour
The longest of our Kutahya programmes adds the countryside of western Anatolia to the city's tile heritage. During six days and five nights in one hotel you explore Kutahya's monuments with a guide, cook its signature dish, unwind in a Turkish bath and a nature park, and travel out to the rock-cut Phrygian Valley and the Roman city of Aizanoi. Airport transfers, five open-buffet breakfasts, one local lunch, an English-speaking guide on every excursion and the listed entrance fees are included.
In the city you visit the Cinili Mosque, sheathed in ceramic plates, the 14th-century Donenler Mosque that once housed Mevlevi dervishes, and the Archaeology Museum with its Roman sarcophagus once placed in the Zeus sanctuary at Aizanoi and Bronze Age finds from Seyitomer Hoyuk. The Grand Mosque of 1410, the Geology Museum in the 16th-century Sengul Turkish Bath, the Kossuth Museum, the Tile Museum and the Kursunlu Mosque of 1377 follow, along with the Clock Tower, the restored Ottoman houses of Germiyan Street, the Kent Museum and the 8th-century Kutahya Fortress. A cooking lesson with a chef, centred on sini mantisi and a dessert, gives you a delicious lunch, and another day pairs a traditional hamam with the pine woods and cool water of Enne Dam Nature Park, 16 kilometres west of town.
The final excursion leads into the Phrygian Valley, the rugged, little-visited landscape where the ancient Phrygians carved monuments into the rock and where walkers now find dramatic scenery and photogenic relics. Then you reach Aizanoi, one of the most important cities of the Roman period in the region, with its combined stadium and theatre, the Macellum market building and, on a hill, the Temple of Zeus, among the best-preserved temples of Zeus anywhere in the world.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your full program, day by day — click a day to see every stop.
Day 1 Arrival - Kutahya ▾
A representative greets you at Kutahya Airport and drives you to your hotel. After checking in and receiving your key, you are free for the rest of the day. A walk to the centre is an easy introduction to the city, where glazed tiles appear on buildings, fountains and in shop windows. The guided part of the holiday begins the next morning, so you can take this first evening slowly.
Day 2 Kutahya 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you set off with your guide on a comprehensive tour of the city. You see the Cinili Mosque and the Donenler Mosque with its painted dervish hats, then the Archaeology Museum and its carved sarcophagus from Aizanoi. Next are the Grand Mosque of 1410, the Geology Museum in the Sengul Turkish Bath, the Kossuth Museum, once the residence of Lajos Kossuth, and the Tile Museum. The tour continues to the Kursunlu Mosque from the Germiyanid period, the Clock Tower, Germiyan Street and the Kent Museum, and finishes among the tower ruins of Kutahya Fortress before the drive back to your hotel.
Day 3 Kutahya - Kutahya, Enne Dam Nature Park 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
Following breakfast you are taken to a local restaurant to join a professional cooking lesson. The chef lets you sample regional flavours and then works with you to prepare sini mantisi, the city's best-loved dish of small dumplings baked in a round tray, and a dessert. You leave with new recipes and techniques, and the dishes you make are served as your lunch. The afternoon is free for shopping in the city centre before you return to the hotel.
Day 4 Kutahya, Enne Dam Nature Park - Phrygian Valley, Aizanoi 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Today starts with a traditional Turkish bath. Beneath the central dome the heat and humidity prepare you for a scrub and a soothing soap massage by an attendant, and afterwards you rest with a glass of tea, feeling thoroughly refreshed. You then drive to Enne Dam Nature Park, 16 kilometres west of Kutahya, where pine trees, cool water and quiet surroundings make it a favourite place for picnics and fishing. In the late afternoon you are brought back to your hotel.
Day 5 Phrygian Valley, Aizanoi - Kutahya 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you head out to the Phrygian Valley, a wild, rock-hewn landscape once home to the ancient Phrygians. Still relatively untouched despite its growing popularity with hikers, it offers striking relics and excellent photo opportunities. Continuing to Aizanoi, you explore one of the major cities of the Roman era, with its stadium and theatre complex, the Macellum and the Temple of Zeus standing on a hill as the city's main sanctuary. Afterwards you return to your hotel in Kutahya.
Day 6 Departure - Departure 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you have free time in the city until your transfer. In line with your flight time, the driver collects you from the hotel and takes you to Kutahya Airport for your homeward journey, ending six days of ceramics, cuisine and ancient history. Our team is happy to help with any last-minute questions about luggage or timing, and we hope to welcome you back to Turkey for another journey.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
