Upon your arrival at the airport in Istanbul, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace, allowing you to settle in or begin your initial exploration of this historic city. Dinner will be provided at the hotel to conclude your first day in Turkey.
After breakfast, we begin our exploration of Istanbulβs Old City. We visit the Topkapi Palace, home to the Ottoman sultans and an exquisite collection of imperial treasures. We continue to the Blue Mosque, famous for its blue Iznik tiles, and the ancient Hippodrome, featuring the Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpentine Column. Following a local lunch, we visit a leather fashion center and the aromatic Grand Spice Bazaar. In the evening, we transfer to the airport for your flight to Tokat, where you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner.
Today is dedicated to discovering the historical depth of Tokat. We will explore the city's significant landmarks, including the Tokat Museum, the Ethnography Museum, and the iconic downtown Clock Tower. We will also visit traditional religious educational centers and historical dwellings that showcase the city's heritage. During our walk through the city, you will have the opportunity to browse local shops for souvenirs. For lunch, we will enjoy the famous Tokat Kebap, a regional specialty renowned throughout Turkey. Dinner and overnight stay in Tokat.
Today, we head to a local farm to experience the agricultural roots of the region. You will participate in harvesting fresh produce such as onions and lettuce, followed by a hands-on session making traditional pancakes with a local touch. We will share the meal we prepared with the villagers. In the afternoon, we visit a cherry orchard to pick and enjoy fresh fruit directly from the trees, offering a memorable connection to the land and the local community.
We start the day with a visit to Lake Almus, one of Turkeyβs largest lakes, where we will observe the local ecosystem. We then visit a traditional village to enjoy organic food and participate in local folkloric dances. We will continue with seasonal fruit and vegetable picking, including fresh peaches. For dinner, you will take part in preparing traditional Turkish pide. This day offers a unique insight into the daily lives, cooking methods, and farm animal husbandry of the hospitable local villagers.
Following a final breakfast at your hotel, we will provide a transfer to the Tokat airport for your onward journey. We hope you leave with lasting memories of the natural beauty and culinary traditions of the region.
