Upon your arrival in Istanbul, a city bridging Europe and Asia, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Known historically as Byzantium and Constantinople, Istanbul serves as a vibrant gateway to your Turkish adventure. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the local surroundings or relax after your journey. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel in the city.
Begin your day with a visit to Sultanahmet Square, the historic heart of the city. Marvel at the Blue Mosque, famous for its intricate blue Iznik tilework, and the monumental 6th-century Hagia Sophia. Explore the ancient Hippodrome, where you can view the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpent Column, and the Column of Constantine. After a local lunch, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of a traditional bazaar, where you can sample Turkish delights, baklava, and spices before returning for an overnight stay in Istanbul.
Depart Istanbul for Bursa, the first major capital of the Ottoman Empire. Your guided tour includes the historic Covered Bazaar, the majestic Grand Mosque (Ulucami), and the Silk Bazaar. You will also visit the Green Mosque and the Green Mausoleum, followed by a stop at a traditional Turkish delicacy factory. After enjoying lunch, you will be driven to the coastal town of Kusadasi. Upon arrival around 19:00–19:30, you will check into your hotel for dinner and the night.
Travel to the ancient city of Ephesus to walk through history. Explore the Temple of Artemis, Curetes Street, the Roman Baths, the grand Celsus Library, and the massive Grand Theatre. Following a local lunch, head to the picturesque village of Sirince, renowned for its 19th-century architecture and unique fruit wines. Participate in a wine-tasting session and learn about local production methods. Before returning to your hotel in Kusadasi, you will visit a traditional carpet weaving center and a leather production facility.
Today, you will depart for Pamukkale, the legendary "Cotton Castle." Upon arrival, you will explore the stunning white travertine terraces and the extensive ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis. You will have time to walk through this natural phenomenon with the option of lying in the warm waters of the natural springs. After a lunch break at a local restaurant, you will be transferred to your hotel in Pamukkale for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for Konya. During the journey, you will have time to rest and enjoy the scenic route. Upon reaching Konya, visit the Mevlana Museum, the final resting place of the 13th-century Sufi mystic Jalaluddin Rumi.
