My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
6 Days Sivas Tour: Seljuk Monuments, Cooking Class, Hamam and Sugul Valley Private Tour
Highlights of the 6-Day Sivas & Sugul Valley Tour
Sivas has many names in its long history, from Sebasteia under Byzantium to the capital of a province under the Ottomans, and its story reaches back to the Hittites. A trading hub on the Silk Road and the Royal Road, it flourished under the Seljuks, whose mosques and medreses still define its skyline. This six-day package uses the city as a base for history, food, relaxation and nature, finishing with a hike through a spectacular canyon.
The guided city day covers the Sivas Archaeological Museum, the Ataturk Congress and Ethnography Museum and the great Seljuk medreses: the tiled Gok Medrese and the twin-minareted Cifte Minareli Medrese of 1271, and the Sifaiye Medrese of 1218, a former hospital. You also see the Ulu Camii of 1196, the oldest mosque in Sivas, the Ottoman Behrampasa Han of 1573 with its lion reliefs and the cylindrical Seljuk tombs of the old town, with a lunch break at a local restaurant. The culinary day combines a hands-on Turkish cooking lesson with lunch, a fruit wine experience with winemakers in the vineyards and a regional leather production centre, and the following day is free, with a transfer to a traditional hamam whenever you wish.
The final excursion leads to Sugul Valley, a canyon formed in the Cretaceous period, where steep sedimentary walls rise above a stream lined with willows and slopes covered in wild almond, rose hip and sumac. Five nights at a hotel in Sivas, five breakfasts and one lunch, hotel room taxes, guided city, cooking, Turkish bath and Sugul Valley tours, a professional English-speaking guide, airport transfers, air-conditioned transport and listed entrance fees are included.

Day 1 Arrival - Sivas ▾
Our representative welcomes you at Sivas Nuri Demirag Airport and takes you to your hotel. After check-in the remainder of the day is free. Overnight in Sivas.
Day 2 Sivas 🍽 Breakfast ▾
At 08:30 after breakfast your guide meets you for a day among the monuments of Sivas. Start with the Archaeological Museum and the Ataturk Congress and Ethnography Museum, then explore the Seljuk quarter: the Gok Medrese, glowing with turquoise tiles, and the Cifte Minareli Medrese, with its two slender minarets, were both built in 1271, while the Sifaiye Medrese of 1218 served as a hospital and medical school. Continue to the Ulu Camii of 1196, the oldest mosque in the city, and to the Behrampasa Han, an Ottoman caravanserai finished in 1573 with lion figures carved around its windows, noticing the Seljuk tombs along the streets. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Overnight in Sivas.
Day 3 Sivas 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
After an 08:30 pick-up and a short sightseeing drive through Sivas, you join a hands-on Turkish cooking lesson and prepare dishes from different regions of the country, which you then enjoy as lunch. In the afternoon winemakers show you around the vineyards and demonstrate how fruit wine is made, with an evening quiz to round off the experience. A visit to a regional leather production centre offers shopping at factory prices without haggling. Overnight in Sivas.
Day 4 Sivas - Sugul Valley 🍽 Breakfast ▾
A free day to enjoy Sivas at your own rhythm. At any time that suits you, we transfer you to a traditional hamam for the classic Turkish bath of warm marble, steam and a thorough scrub, then bring you back to your hotel. Overnight in Sivas.
Day 5 Sugul Valley - Sivas 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you leave the city for Sugul Valley, one of the natural highlights of Sivas province. The canyon was shaped in the Cretaceous period, and its steep walls of hard sedimentary rock, stony clay slopes and sandy valley floor make a dramatic setting. Willows line the stream, while wild almond, rose hip and sumac grow on the slopes and the occasional juniper clings to the rocks. Fallen boulders and weathered cliffs add to the scenery as you hike along the canyon, enjoying the silence of the valley. Return to your hotel in Sivas for the night.
Day 6 Sivas 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After a final breakfast you check out and transfer to Sivas Nuri Demirag Airport for your journey home.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
