My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
4 Days Sivas City & Cooking Tour: Seljuk Heritage and Turkish Flavours Private Tour
Highlights of the 4-Day Sivas City & Cooking Tour
For centuries caravans passed through Sivas on the trade routes of the Silk Road and the Royal Road, and the city grew rich under the Seljuks, who left behind some of the most beautiful stone monuments in Anatolia. This four-day programme pairs that heritage with the food culture of the region: one day is spent among museums and medreses, the next in the kitchen and among the vines, always with a professional English-speaking guide.
On the city day you visit the Sivas Archaeological Museum and the Ataturk Congress and Ethnography Museum, the venue of the 1919 Sivas Congress. You then explore the Gok Medrese of 1271 with its blue tiles, the Sifaiye Medrese of 1218, built as a Seljuk hospital and medical school, and the Cifte Minareli Medrese of the same year as the Gok Medrese, famous for its two minarets and carved gateway. The plain and atmospheric Ulu Camii of 1196, the Ottoman Behrampasa Han of 1573 with lion reliefs and a scattering of Seljuk kumbet tombs complete the picture, with a lunch break for local specialities.
The third day starts with a short sightseeing drive and continues with a hands-on Turkish cooking lesson, after which you eat what you have prepared for lunch. Local winemakers then introduce you to fruit wine production in the vineyards, and a regional leather production centre offers relaxed shopping at factory rates. Three nights at a hotel in Sivas, three breakfasts and one lunch, hotel room taxes, both airport transfers, air-conditioned transport and listed entrance fees are included.

The Ulu Camii of 1196, the oldest mosque in Sivas, and the Ottoman Behrampasa Han of 1573 with its lion carvings complete the route, along with cylindrical Seljuk tombs dotted around town. A lunch break gives you time to sample local cooking. Overnight in Sivas.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
