My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
5 Days Kirklareli City, Cooking & Turkish Bath Tour in Thrace Private Tour
Highlights of the 5 Days Kirklareli City, Cooking & Turkish Bath Tour
Kirklareli sits in Thrace, the slice of Turkey that belongs to the European mainland, and it rewards travellers who prefer an unhurried pace over a long list of cities. This five-day stay keeps you based in a single hotel for four nights and combines one guided heritage day, one culinary day and one relaxing hamam day, with free hours built in so the city never feels rushed. Arrival and departure transfers connect the programme to Tekirdag Corlu Airport, and a professional English-speaking guide accompanies the guided days.
The heritage day opens at the Ataturk Museum, which recreates the house in Thessaloniki where the founder of the Republic was born in 1881; the municipality opened it to the public in 2018. Nearby, the Kirklareli Museum occupies an 1894 building that once housed the town council and was visited by Ataturk in 1930. Its two floors are divided into archaeology, ethnography, culture and nature halls. You also see the Gerdanli Fountain, a late Ottoman work with two facades carved from kufeki limestone, a stone chosen because it tolerates damp well. After a stroll and free lunch on Istasyon Street, a drive of about an hour leads to the Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Mosque and Complex, a late 16th-century foundation named after one of the most powerful grand viziers in Ottoman history.
Food takes centre stage on the third day. In a local restaurant you cook alongside the kitchen team and then sit down to eat what you have made, including papara, a rustic dish of bread softened with butter and water, the well-known Kirklareli meatballs and sini mantisi, a tray-baked local take on dumplings. The afternoon is free for shopping in the centre. On the fourth day you are taken to a hamam, the traditional Turkish bath, at a time that suits you and the bath's opening hours, before more free time in town. Hotel accommodation with breakfast, one lunch, entrance fees and air-conditioned transport are all included.

Day 1 Arrival - Kirklareli city tour ▾
On arrival at Tekirdag Corlu Airport you are welcomed and driven to your hotel in Kirklareli. After check-in the rest of the day is unplanned, so you can rest after the flight or take a first look around the city on foot. There are no guided visits or included meals today, which makes it an easy start whatever time your flight lands. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 2 Kirklareli city tour - Kirklareli cooking lesson 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast your guide collects you from the hotel. The first visit is the Ataturk Museum, a faithful copy of the birth house of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, opened by the municipality in 2018. Next comes the Kirklareli Museum in a building completed in 1894, with halls on archaeology, ethnography, culture and nature. You continue to the two-sided Gerdanli Fountain, built in the late 19th century from humidity-resistant kufeki stone, then walk along lively Istasyon Street, where there is free time for lunch at your own expense. In the afternoon a drive of roughly one hour brings you to the Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Mosque and Complex, raised in the late 16th century and named after the celebrated grand vizier. Afterwards you return to the hotel. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 3 Kirklareli cooking lesson - Kirklareli Turkish bath 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
Following breakfast you are picked up and taken to a local restaurant for a hands-on cooking lesson. Working with the cooks, you learn how regional favourites are put together, such as papara made from bread, butter and water, Kirklareli meatballs and sini mantisi, the area's tray-baked version of filled pasta, and you taste the different flavours of the region along the way. The dishes you prepare become your lunch. Later you head into the city centre for free time and shopping before being taken back to the hotel. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 4 Kirklareli Turkish bath - Kirklareli, Tekirdag Corlu Airport 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you are collected for a visit to a hamam. The timing is arranged around your preference and the bath's available hours. Bathing in a hamam is a long-standing custom practised in towns all over Turkey, and this is a relaxed way to experience it for yourself. When you have finished, you are dropped in the city centre for further free time and shopping, and the remainder of the day is yours before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 5 Departure - to Tekirdag Corlu Airport 🍽 Breakfast ▾

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
