The heart of the programme is one full sightseeing day in the old city. You start at Topkapi Palace, the seat of the Ottoman sultans for centuries, where the displays include crystal, silver, Chinese porcelain, imperial robes, miniatures, the dazzling jewels of the Imperial Treasury and the Holy Mantle that safeguards relics of the Prophet Mohammed. From there the route continues to the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque, better known as the Blue Mosque, whose interior glows with blue Iznik tiles, and then to the ancient Hippodrome, where chariots once raced and three ancient monuments still line the old racetrack: the Egyptian Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Walled Obelisk.
After a lunch break you step into the lively Spice Bazaar, a market of spices, herbs, Turkish delight, baklava, Turkish coffee, nuts, ceramics, evil-eye charms, olive oil and soaps, with the rest of the evening free to explore on your own. Arrival and departure are covered by private airport transfers, two nights of hotel accommodation include breakfast, and a professional English-speaking guide with a headset system accompanies you throughout the tour.

Your journey begins when you land at Istanbul Airport. A representative meets you at arrivals and escorts you to the private transfer vehicle, which is adapted for wheelchair users and air-conditioned. The drive takes you directly to your hotel, where you complete check-in and can settle into your room at your own speed. The remainder of the day is free: rest after the flight, ask your guide any questions about the next morning, or simply enjoy a first impression of the city around your hotel. No sightseeing is scheduled today, which keeps the arrival relaxed and gives everyone time to recover before the full touring day. You spend the night in Istanbul.
After the open buffet breakfast, the Istanbul city tour departs from the hotel at 08:30. The first stop is Topkapi Palace, the great residence of the Ottoman sultans, with its collections of crystal, silver and Chinese porcelain, ceremonial robes, miniatures, the Imperial Treasury jewels and the Holy Mantle. Next comes the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque, the Blue Mosque, raised between 1609 and 1616 by Sedefkar Mehmed Agha and admired for its blue Iznik tile decoration, standing opposite St. Sophia. You then reach the ancient Hippodrome where the Egyptian Obelisk, the Walled Obelisk and the bronze Serpentine Column recall the old chariot races. Following a lunch break, the group visits the Spice Bazaar for spices, sweets, coffee and small souvenirs. The evening is yours. Overnight in Istanbul. Please note that Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays and Hagia Sophia on Mondays, so the programme can be adjusted if your day falls on one of them.
Enjoy a final open buffet breakfast at the hotel, then check out at your convenience. A private transfer in the same wheelchair-adapted vehicle takes you back to Istanbul Airport for your onward flight. Your guide and driver wish you a safe journey home, and the tour ends at the airport. If you have extra time before leaving, optional excursions such as the Princes' Islands, Vialand, Miniaturk or the Istanbul Aquarium can be arranged separately in advance, but they are not part of this itinerary and are charged on top of the tour.
