Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Istanbul. After checking in, enjoy some leisure time to settle in or explore the immediate surroundings. An orientation session will introduce you to the city's highlights, followed by free time to relax or begin your own discovery of the vibrant streets of Istanbul.
Start your day with a visit to the historic heart of Istanbul. Explore the magnificent Topkapi Palace, the former residence of Ottoman sultans, and the 6th-century Hagia Sophia. After a lunch break at a traditional Turkish restaurant (at your own expense), visit the Blue Mosque, famous for its blue tiles, and the ancient Hippodrome. Continue to the underground Basilica Cistern before concluding your day at the historic Grand Bazaar, one of the world's oldest covered markets.
Begin the morning at the aromatic Spice Bazaar. Afterward, board a ferry for a scenic Bosphorus cruise, offering views of historic palaces and mansions along the Asian and European shores. Ortaköy, with its waterfront square beneath the Bosphorus Bridge, is the stop for a coffee break.
