Start your day at 08:00 AM exploring the breathtaking white calcium terraces of the Cotton Castle and the expansive ruins of Hierapolis. You will have the opportunity to bathe in the natural thermal springs. The tour includes a visit to a local textile factory before we begin our road trip to the coastal town of Kusadasi. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
Depart at 08:30 AM for a guided tour of the magnificent Ephesus archaeological site. Walk the Curetes Street to see the Roman baths, the Celsus Library, and the Grand Theatre. After visiting the Temple of Artemis, enjoy a local lunch. The afternoon includes a visit to a traditional carpet-weaving center, followed by a tour of Sirince Village, where you can sample local fruit wines. We also visit a leather production center before returning for dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
After an early check-out, we drive to Pergamon. Visit the Bergama Museum, home to many relics recovered from ancient Pergamon, followed by a short stop at a local jewelry center. After lunch, we continue to the legendary site of Troy, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for the Trojan Horse and the stories of the Trojan War. After the tour, we check into our hotel in Canakkale for dinner and overnight.
Today we drive to the Gallipoli Peninsula, where a short rest and a local lunch come before the battlefield visits. The guided tour opens at the Gabatepe Museum and continues to Ariburnu Cemetery and Anzac Cove, where the landings began, then on to Beach Cemetery, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair. Afterwards we set off on the 5-6 hour drive to Istanbul. Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Explore the historic Sultanahmet district, starting at the ancient Hippodrome, home to the Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpentine Column. Visit the Blue Mosque, famous for its blue Iznik tiles, and view the 6th-century Hagia Sophia from the outside.
