My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
6 Days Kirklareli & Edirne Tour: Ottoman Heritage, Cooking Class and Hamam Private Tour
Highlights of the 6 Days Kirklareli & Edirne Tour
Six days and five nights in one hotel in Kirklareli give you time to know Turkish Thrace properly rather than passing through it. The programme mixes two guided sightseeing days, one in Kirklareli and one in the former Ottoman capital of Edirne, with a hands-on cooking lesson, a traditional bath and generous free time. You are collected from and returned to Tekirdag Corlu Airport, a professional English-speaking guide leads every excursion, and travel between sights is in an air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle.
In Kirklareli you visit the Ataturk Museum, opened in 2018 as a reconstruction of the Thessaloniki house where the founder of modern Turkey was born, and the Kirklareli Museum, set in an 1894 building with archaeology, ethnography, culture and nature sections. The Gerdanli Fountain, faced on two sides with damp-resistant kufeki stone, shows a late Ottoman approach to building near water, and Istasyon Street offers cafes, shops and a free lunch stop before the drive of about an hour to the late 16th-century Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Mosque and Complex. The Edirne day is devoted to the city that served as Ottoman capital between Bursa and Istanbul. Its centrepiece is the Selimiye Mosque, completed in 1575 for Sultan Selim II by the architect Mimar Sinan and famous for its slender minarets of about 71 metres, fine marble work, tiles and painted decoration.
Edirne also brings the Arasta Bazaar beside the mosque, known for Turkish delight and handicrafts, the Old Mosque of 1414, the remains of Edirne Palace, the 19th-century Meric Bridge over the river and the Complex of Bayezid II. Back in Kirklareli, a local restaurant hosts your cooking class, where you prepare and then eat dishes such as papara, Kirklareli meatballs and sini mantisi. A further day starts with a hamam session timed to suit you, followed by shopping and leisure in the centre, before a relaxed final morning and your transfer to the airport.

Day 1 Arrival - Kirklareli city tour ▾
Your journey starts at Tekirdag Corlu Airport, where you are met and taken by road to your hotel in Kirklareli. After receiving your room key you have the remainder of the day free, with no fixed programme and no included meals, so you can recover from your flight or set off on your own to discover the streets of the city centre. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 2 Kirklareli city tour - Edirne 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Following breakfast, your guide meets you at the hotel to begin the city tour. You start at the Ataturk Museum, which reproduces the house in Thessaloniki where Ataturk was born in 1881, then move on to the Kirklareli Museum, housed in an 1894 building that served for a time as the town hall and today displays archaeology, ethnography, culture and nature collections. Next is the Gerdanli Fountain, a two-faced late Ottoman structure of kufeki stone. A walk down busy Istasyon Street leads to free time for lunch at your own expense, after which a drive of around one hour takes you to the Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Mosque and Complex from the late 16th century. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 3 Edirne - Kirklareli cooking lesson 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you drive for about an hour to Edirne, the Ottoman capital before Istanbul. The visit opens at the Selimiye Mosque, finished in 1575 for Sultan Selim II and regarded as one of Mimar Sinan's greatest works, with towering minarets, marble carving, tiles and painted interiors. Close by, the Arasta Bazaar sells Turkish delight and local crafts. You then see the Old Mosque, built in 1414, and the site of Edirne Palace, the old Ottoman palace dating from the 15th century. During free time for lunch you might try the city's famous fried liver. The afternoon includes the 19th-century Meric Bridge and the Complex of Bayezid II before you return to Kirklareli. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 4 Kirklareli cooking lesson - Kirklareli Turkish bath 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
After breakfast you are driven to a local restaurant for a practical cooking lesson. Guided by the cooks, you prepare and taste regional dishes such as papara, made from bread, butter and water, Kirklareli meatballs and sini mantisi, a tray-baked style of dumplings, and the results are served as your lunch. The afternoon is set aside for shopping and leisure in the centre of town before the transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 5 Kirklareli Turkish bath - Kirklareli, Tekirdag Corlu Airport 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Once breakfast is over you are taken to a hamam for a traditional Turkish bath, scheduled around your wishes and the bath's opening hours. The hamam remains part of everyday culture across Turkey, so this is a chance to enjoy a genuine local custom. Afterwards you are dropped in the centre for more shopping and free time, and the rest of the day is yours. Overnight in Kirklareli.
Day 6 Kirklareli, Tekirdag Corlu Airport - Transfer to Tekirdag Corlu Airport 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Have a last breakfast at the hotel and spend the remaining hours as you like until it is time to leave. You are then driven back to Tekirdag Corlu Airport for your flight, concluding six days in Kirklareli and Edirne.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
