My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
5 Days Sirnak Tour: Cizre Heritage, Cooking Class and Turkish Bath Private Tour
Highlights of the 5-Day Sirnak Heritage, Cooking and Hamam Tour
Five days and four nights give you time to enjoy Sirnak at a gentle pace. Based in a single hotel, you spend one day among the historic monuments of Sirnak and Cizre, one day in the kitchen and the vineyards, and one day entirely at leisure with a visit to a traditional Turkish bath whenever you feel like it. The package covers round-trip transfers from Sirnak Airport, four breakfasts, one lunch, an English-speaking guide, the entrance fees on the programme, hotel room taxes and the hamam transfer.
The heritage day links some of the most meaningful sites of the region. The Red Madrasah, a 15th-century school of the Cizre Principality, is noted for its red-brick courtyard, and the Abdaliye Madrasah, also from the 15th century, combines Arab architectural features with a literary fame earned through the epic Mem and Zin. Mount Cudi, linked by tradition to the story of Noah's Ark, is a stop on the road to Cizre, where you see the museum named after the inventor Ismail Ebul-Iz El Cezeri, the Great Mosque, which was converted from a church in the time of Caliph Omar, and the much-visited Tomb of Noah. During a lunch break at a restaurant you can sample local kebabs, biryan kebab and sweets.
The cooking day begins with an orientation drive around the city and continues with a lesson in Turkish cooking that reflects the mix of Turkish, Syrian and Iranian influences found in this part of the country; your own dishes are served for lunch. Afterwards you learn how fruit wine is made in the vineyards, take a fun test in the evening and shop at a regional leather production centre at factory rates. The fourth day is free for rest and shopping, with a hamam visit to complete the experience.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your full program, day by day — click a day to see every stop.
Day 1 Arrival - Sirnak, Mount Cudi, Cizre ▾
On landing at Sirnak Airport you are met by our staff and transferred to your hotel, where you check in and settle into your room. No activities are scheduled for the rest of the day. You can relax, unpack and enjoy a meal at your own pace while getting used to the rhythm of south-eastern Anatolia. Tomorrow's guided tour leaves at 08:30, so you may want to turn in early and be ready for a full day among the region's historic sites.
Day 2 Sirnak, Mount Cudi, Cizre - Sirnak 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Your guide meets you at the hotel at 08:30. The first visits are to two 15th-century religious schools: the Red Madrasah of the Cizre Principality, notable for the red brickwork of its courtyard, and the Abdaliye Madrasah, whose design reflects Arab architectural traditions and which appears in the celebrated tale of Mem and Zin. Travelling on towards Cizre, you pause at Mount Cudi, believed by many to be the resting place of Noah's Ark. In Cizre you see the museum honouring Ismail Ebul-Iz El Cezeri, the Great Mosque that was a church before its conversion in the era of Caliph Omar, and the Tomb of Noah. There is a break for lunch at a local restaurant, a good opportunity to taste regional specialities such as biryan kebab, before the afternoon sightseeing and the drive back to your hotel.
Day 3 Sirnak 🍽 Breakfast · Lunch ▾
The day starts at 08:30 with a morning orientation tour of Sirnak, after which you take part in a hands-on Turkish cooking lesson. You discover tastes from several Turkish regions, and you learn why the cuisine of Sirnak is so varied: in this south-eastern corner of the country Turkish, Syrian and Iranian cooking traditions mix freely. Lunch is the meal you have just prepared. Afterwards you head to the vineyards, where wine makers show you how fruit wine is produced, and in the evening your knowledge is put to a friendly test. The tour also calls at a leading leather production centre of the region, offering good factory prices and a relaxed, guided shopping experience before the return to your hotel.
Day 4 Sirnak 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast the day is yours for relaxation and shopping. Whenever it suits you during the day, you can be picked up from the hotel and taken to a hamam to enjoy a traditional Turkish bath, an experience that belongs to every visit to Turkey. The warmth, steam and scrub are a perfect way to unwind after two busy touring days, and afterwards you are brought back to your hotel to spend the rest of the day as you wish.
Day 5 Sirnak 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Enjoy a final breakfast before checking out. Your driver then takes you to Sirnak Airport in good time for your departure. We hope the history of Cizre, the flavours of the local cuisine and the relaxed hamam day made this a rewarding trip, and we look forward to seeing you again on a future tour in Turkey. Thank you for travelling with us, and have a safe flight home.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
