Kirsehir lies on the steppe of Central Anatolia, a short drive from the Cappadocia region yet far quieter, and this five-day stay lets you discover it slowly from a single hotel base. The sightseeing day takes in three very different places. The Kalehoyuk (Castle Mound) Museum tells the story of a settlement mound that was occupied from around 3000 B.C. into Islamic times. Mucur Underground City, which lies right beneath the town centre, reveals how people once lived below ground, with 42 rooms for guests, stables, places of worship, hidden passages and air shafts. Seyfe Lake, protected as a nature reserve, supports 167 species of waterbirds, among them flamingos, grey herons, ruddy shelducks, mallards, pintails, cranes and crested grebes, so binoculars are well worth packing. A local lunch is included on this day.
On the third day the chef of a local restaurant runs a cooking class, with your guide explaining each step. Together you prepare lunch, featuring a Kirsehir favourite such as tantuni alongside salads and desserts, and then sit down to enjoy it. Free time in the centre follows, a good moment to look at objects carved from the onyx stone the province is known for, or at carpets and kilims, two crafts with deep roots here. Day four begins with a visit to a hamam, scheduled to suit you and the bath's opening hours, followed by more leisure in town before your final morning and the drive back to the airport.

On landing at Nevsehir-Cappadocia Airport you are met and transferred by road to Kirsehir, where you check in to your hotel. No guided activities or meals are planned for the rest of the day, so you are free to settle in, relax after the flight or take a first stroll around the town. Overnight in Kirsehir.
After breakfast your guide collects you for a full day of sightseeing. You begin at the Kalehoyuk (Castle Mound) Museum, which presents a site inhabited from about 3000 B.C. up to the Islamic era. Next is Mucur Underground City in the heart of the town, a network of 42 guest rooms, corridors, stables, prayer spaces, concealed passages and ventilation shafts. After breakfast you are picked up and driven to a hamam, the traditional Turkish bath, at a time arranged around your preference and the bath's available hours. Bathing culture is woven into daily life throughout Turkey, which makes this an enjoyable way to experience a living tradition. Afterwards you are dropped in the city centre for further shopping and free time before going back to the hotel, and the rest of the day is yours. Overnight in Kirsehir.
