My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
3 Days Hakkari City Tour: Semdinli Stone Bridge, Kayme Palace & Yuksekova Private Tour
Highlights of the 3 Days Hakkari City Tour
Hakkari is Turkey's south-eastern corner, a mountainous province at the eastern edge of the Eastern Anatolia Region that borders Iraq, Iran, Van and Sirnak. Few travellers make it this far, which is exactly why a short guided stay here feels so distinctive: soaring ranges, narrow valleys and a heritage of mosques, castles and palaces left by the many powers that ruled the area. This compact three-day programme is designed around flights via Istanbul to Hakkari Yuksekova Selahaddin Eyyubi Airport, with two nights in a hotel in Yuksekova and one full day of sightseeing with a professional English-speaking guide.
The sightseeing day features two of the province's best-known monuments. The Semdinli Stone Bridge is a single-span arch running north to south, both of its feet set on solid rock, deep in a valley enclosed by high mountains on the road from Derecik toward Iraq. Kayme Palace, according to its inscriptions, was built between 1909 and 1911; the builder is not named, but tradition credits Seyit Muhammed Siddik, whose father was Seyit Ubeydullah. The day closes with a panoramic coach tour through the centre of Yuksekova, giving you an overview of everyday life in this frontier town.
The package covers two nights of hotel accommodation, two breakfasts, all airport transfers named in the itinerary, transport in an air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle, the guided Hakkari and Yuksekova city tour, entrance fees for the visits and hotel room taxes. Domestic flights, lunches and dinners are not included, so you are free to try local restaurants in the evenings. It is an ideal short add-on for travellers exploring eastern Turkey who want to see a remote province with an experienced local guide.

Day 1 Arrival - Semdinli Stone Bridge, Kayme Palace & Yuksekova ▾
Welcome to the far south-east of Turkey. On landing at Hakkari Yuksekova Selahaddin Eyyubi Airport you are met by our team and driven to your hotel in Yuksekova. Once you have collected your room key, the rest of the day is unplanned, so you can rest after the flight or take a first look around on your own. Hakkari is a high mountain province bordered by Iraq to the south, Iran to the east, Van to the north and Sirnak to the west, and even a short walk reveals the dramatic peaks that surround the town. Overnight in Yuksekova, Hakkari.
Day 2 Semdinli Stone Bridge, Kayme Palace & Yuksekova - Yuksekova to Istanbul 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast you are collected from the hotel for a guided day of sightseeing. The province has been ruled by many civilisations and is known for its mosques, castles and palaces. You first see the Semdinli Stone Bridge, a single north-south span resting on bedrock at both ends in a deep valley between towering mountains, which links the road from Derecik toward Iraq. Next comes Kayme Palace, which inscriptions date to 1909-1911 and attributed to Seyit Muhammed Siddik, whose father was Seyit Ubeydullah. Back in Yuksekova, a panoramic drive through the town centre rounds off the day before you return to the hotel. Overnight in Yuksekova.
Day 3 Yuksekova to Istanbul - Flight to Istanbul 🍽 Breakfast ▾
Enjoy breakfast before checking out of the hotel. You are then transferred to Hakkari Yuksekova Selahaddin Eyyubi Airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul and your connection home. We hope these days among the mountains, bridges and palaces of Hakkari have been memorable, and we would be delighted to welcome you on another journey in Turkey.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
