Anka Restaurant

Anka Restaurant is one of the venues we use for group lunches and dinners in Cappadocia. It is built for coach tours rather than walk-in dining: a single hall seats several hundred guests at long tables, so a full coach party is served together instead of being split across sittings.

Open buffet built for groups

Service is open buffet along one long counter, which keeps queues short even when more than one group arrives at the same time. The hot line runs six or more chafing dishes at once and typically covers grilled and stewed chicken, minced meat dishes, vegetable casseroles baked with tomato and pepper, pasta and rice or bulgur pilaf.

Alongside it sits a chilled counter with a wide salad selection, seasonal vegetables, pickles and mezze, laid out with carved fruit and vegetable displays. The dessert station is Turkish first: baklava and syrup pastries, milk puddings, sponge and chocolate slices, lokma, plus fresh fruit cut to order.

What this means for your group

Because plating is self-service and the line is long, a 40 to 50 pax group clears the buffet quickly and the coach stays on schedule. The hall is fully enclosed and air conditioned, so it works the same in July heat and in winter. Vegetarian dishes are always present on the hot and cold lines, and the kitchen prepares set menus on request when a programme calls for a fixed meal.

Tables are laid in advance with cutlery, glassware and napkins, and the venue is set up for the usual tour rhythm of arriving, eating and moving on within an hour to an hour and a half.
